Broward Women’s Chorus concert discounts

The Broward Women's Chorus is performing a series of concerts called “Sing Me Love Songs,” featuring well-known-love songs from the 1930s to the 1970s, and celebrating love of all kinds.
 
The chorus, made up of women from throughout Broward County, is directed by Birgit Djupedal Fioravante, a career opera singer and voice teacher. Professional pianist Carolyn Morgan is the accompanist. The group has been performing in South Florida for 51 years.

The concerts will feature love songs from Broadway and pop traditions, ranging from “As Times Goes By” to “Love Train” and “If I Loved You.”
 
You have three opportunities to hear this concert:
  • Saturday, April 6, at 7:30 p.m. at the Herb Skolnick Center, 800 SW 36th Ave, Pompano Beach, FL 33069. Admission is $15 at the door.
  • Friday, April 19, at 7 p.m. at the Victory Black Box Theatre, 1409 W Sistrunk Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33311. Admission is $20 in advance and $25 the day of the show. You can buy tickets here.CANCELLED.
  • Sunday, April 28, at Sunshine Cathedral, 1480 SW 9th Ave, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33315. Admission is $20 in advance and $25 at the door. This performance includes a new song, “Only Music,” written for the vocal group by Gordon Roberts, a South Florida arranger and performer, plus additional songs and instrumentation.
