The ‘What’s Going On in This Picture?’ feature from The NY Times Learning Network is a familiar one to many educators, and especially to those of us who teach ELLs.

Whether or not we all use their specific teaching protocol, many of us use their features photos in many of our lessons.

The Network just published How to Teach With ‘What’s Going On in This Picture?’ and it’s chockful of wonderful teaching ideas.

I gained a lot from reading it, and you might, too.

As a bonus, they have also just published 20 Puzzling Photos Featuring Kids and Teens From Around the World.

I’m adding it to The Best Ways To Use Photos In Lessons.
