What are the most effective tools for sharing process automation documentation?
Format, storage and sharing are all intrinsically linked by factors such as size and complexity of the process, potential complexity of use cases and exception handling etc, and by the depth of documentation required (by audit for example), frequency of update, and the target audiences and how broadly the documentation has to be shared.

What are the most effective tools for sharing process automation documentation?
See above comment ref formats - sharing somewhat depends on and is linked to format e.g. Intranet site or Wiki versus DMS, but also on content and audience. Is this the "how to" documentation for the users, or the full design documentation with technical architecture etc.

What are the most effective tools for sharing process automation documentation?
What I have done in the past: 1. Simple process, not many steps or tasks, simple exception management etc then a web page 2. Complex process, many steps or tasks, potentially complicated exception management, then fully documented in a PDF, but that PDF is accessible from a Web page as above. 3. Processes that may change on a periodic, even regular basis, due to it being new, feedback being received etc - as above plus a Wiki page to capture the dynamic nature of changes and updates.

How do you use knowledge management software to support decision making and problem solving?
I would say this is the key element, KM is a strategy, an approach, and is largely about people. The software can be cool and helpful, but focus on the people using it through the user experience, and the change management, training and education that will allow them to use an software to its greatest potential.
