Israel marks Memorial Day for the fallen soldiers and victims of terrorism

Israel is on the front lines in the war against global terrorism. This war has cost the tiny Jewish nation over 24,000 soldiers since it’s inception in 1948. Every American should be proud to support Israel. That is because when Israel fights terrorism in Iran, Syria, Lebanon, and Gaza, it is protecting Americans in New York City, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago and all points in between. May the memory of Israel’s fallen soldiers be a blessing.

Memorial Day, which begins this year on Tuesday evening, 3 May 3, 2022, is a day of collective and personal anguish mingled with honor for the fallen. The official events begin at 8:00 PM with a moment of national silence heralded by a one-minute siren.

A total of 28,284 men, women and children have been killed in terrorist attacks and in defense of the Land of Israel since 1860, the year that the first Jewish settlers left the secure walls of Jerusalem to build new Jewish neighborhoods.

The number of Israel’s casualties of war stand at 24,068 as of May 2022. Since last Memorial Day, 56 new names were added to the roster of those who died defending the country. Another 84 disabled veterans died due to complications from injuries sustained during their service.

The Truth Must be Told

Your contribution supports independent journalism

Please take a moment to consider this. Now, more than ever, people are reading Geller Report for news they won't get anywhere else. But advertising revenues have all but disappeared. Google Adsense is the online advertising monopoly and they have banned us. Social media giants like Facebook and Twitter have blocked and shadow-banned our accounts. But we won't put up a paywall. Because never has the free world needed independent journalism more.

Everyone who reads our reporting knows the Geller Report covers the news the media won't. We cannot do our ground-breaking report without your support. We must continue to report on the global jihad and the left's war on freedom. Our readers’ contributions make that possible.

Geller Report's independent, investigative journalism takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we believe our work is critical in the fight for freedom and because it is your fight, too.
