‘I’m just lost’: Husband of woman who died following lengthy wait at N.S. hospital speaks out

The husband of a 37-year-old woman who died in a Nova Scotia hospital after waiting hours for care is sharing his story as provincial politicians demand answers from the government.
Gunter Holthoff spoke of how he had to watch his wife Allison suffer in pain at a crowded makeshift emergency room at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre (CRHCC) on New Year’s Eve, waiting for care “to a point where they couldn’t ignore us anymore.”
He said they arrived at the hospital before noon and his wife was pronounced dead before the day ended.
Holthoff said it all began the morning of New Year’s Eve, when his wife woke up and said she had an upset stomach.

Every Canadian who votes to elect Canada’s Marxist/Socialist/Regressive party, the New Democrats, or for the Liberal Party of Canada, is personally responsible for the death of this woman and the destruction of her family. What will it take to make these people wake up? The death of someone they love? The evidence of history is clear: socialism has never worked and never will work. It leads only to misery and death.

Many Canadians some who voted for socialism and can afford to come here to America and pay for their care here displace many Americans from getting care before foreigners and this must stop. Let Canadians live with their mistakes and fix them as we must repair our country first.

I’m a Canadian and have gone to Mexico for excellent health care but I want to point out that l live in Alberta where American hospitals regularly advertise their services to Canadians. It would appear that no one is being displaced in your country for health care.

well,you must admit. those in power dont worry about the death and misery their system causes, as long as they themselves are comfortable. Reminds me of the World Economic Forum & ol Klause .We have nothing,own nothing,no travel permitted and well be happy.

Canadian Politicians like American Politicians have separate standing and superior health care coverage than do ordinary Canadians – Canadian Politicians take care of themselves but not so much the electorate

Sneer as much as you like about ‘socialised’ medicine which is what most civilised nations have now. We do not have to mortgage our house or use our life savings to pay for our necessary care. like operations. I have had several operations both minor and major, including two major back operations and it did not cost me anything beyond paying for the hosptal stay which was not expensive. Relatives of mine have had hip operations. Most Americans who visit our countries and use our systems praise out health care
and wish they had similar.

I read about the “government controlled health care of England”. This is where a person, not associated at all with the TRUTH, is sitting in a governmental office and decides IF or WHEN a sick person receives medial help!
This IS ATROCIOUS. Allow individuals, INDIVIDUALS decide when medical help IS NECESSARY!
