Post-GOP Debate Survey Shows Trump Didn’t Suffer for Skipping

By Pro Morning Consult, Aug 26th, 2023

According to a survey conducted Aug. 24, 58% of potential Republican primary voters back Trump for the GOP’s 2024 nomination. This is unchanged from our surveys released on Monday before he skipped Wednesday’s matchup. It shows that the Republican front-runner paid no price for skipping the debate even though most potential primary voters did want him to attend.

Third-place candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, who faced a barrage of attacks from lower-polling rivals including former Vice President Mike Pence and former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, saw his backing increase among potential Republican primary voters from 10% to 11%, though that movement was well within the latest survey’s 3-point margin of error.

Support for former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, who was among the most critical of Trump during the debate, also increased by 1 point (from 3% to 4%).

The number of people who have watched Trumps, interview with Tucker, were over 210+ million more than those who watch the debate, and it is continuing to grow.

Why would he need to be there in person; when all the candidates were there to promote him. Every other word; out of every candidate present; was Trump, Trump, Trump. There’s not enough money in the world that could have bought that amount of advertising; much less show how pathetic and empty all the other candidates truly are. They have ZERO substance or attributes; except to attack Trump to gain relevance.

VIVEK won the debate, but DeSantis looked more Presidential.

Vivek did well against Christie and Pence, but Nikki Haley nailed him on his weakness on China and Israel.

Nikki Hailey is like that old friend of yours who only talks to you when they need something.

She’s strong on foreign pollicy. But doesn’t understand the seriousness of cancel culture and weaponization.

I said all along that during any debate the rest would band together and attack Trump, just like any other Democrat.. They even did that and he wasn’t there. They are all Traitors.

Vivek was the only one who defended Trump strongly.
Tim Scott alluded to weaponization, so maybe a little.

The rest was as you said, almost all of them attacked Trump.

Larry Elder, who might defend Trump, was not allowed to debate.

You just dont know what the rats will pull outta their smelly rats asses – so while we need a STRONG CONSERVATIVE in the WH – IF perchance the party of rats do prevent orange man with their blatant wanna be a banana republic stunts – and actually pull the biggest political HEIST not only this country but probably the better part of the planets ever seen – there absolutely needs to be a viable 2nd 3rd choice and a 4th – we need this insurance. We CANNOT STAND ANOTHER RAT IN THERE FOR THE NEXT 4 – There will be nothing left.
