This would mark the end of our Constitution. It is illegal on every level. Make no mistake, these are the actions of totalitarian destroyers. History is riddled with the human toll of these villains. It’s why I fought so vigorously all the years to ensure our freedom of speech.
“The principle of free speech is not concerned with the content of a man speech and does not protect only the expression of good ideas, but all ideas. If it were otherwise who would determine which ideas are good and which have been? The government?” Ayn Rand, America’s greatest political philosopher, eloquently explained.
Freedom of speech is the foundation of a free society. Without it, a tyrant can wreak havoc unopposed, while his opponents are silenced. Putting up with being offended is essential in a pluralistic society in which people differ on basic truths. If a group will not bear being offended without resorting to violence, that group will rule unopposed while everyone else lives in fear, while other groups curtail their activities to appease the violent group. This results in the violent group being able to tyrannize the others.

If speech that offends a group is outlawed, that group has absolute power, and a free society is destroyed. A group that cannot be criticized cannot be opposed. It can work its will no matter what it is, and no one will be able to say anything to stop it.
The antidote to bad speech is more speech. But the left cannot permit the free exchange of ideas because their failed ideas cannot stand up to scrutiny and challenge.
Inoffensive speech needs no protection. The First Amendment was developed precisely in order to protect speech that was offensive to some, in order to prevent those who had power from claiming they were offended by speech opposing them and silencing the powerless.
A free society is by its nature one in which people put up with others being uncivil and offensive. The alternative is a quiet authoritarian society in which only one opinion is allowed and the others are silenced, and ultimately sent to the camps.
Michigan Moves Forward with Hate Speech Bill Making it a Felony to Make Someone “Feel” Threatened
Daily Caller: A new Michigan bill would make it a hate crime to cause someone to “feel terrorized, frightened, or threatened.” The Michigan Hate Crime Act, designated HB 4474 , passed in the state House on Tuesday and now goes before the Michigan Senate. It will replace the existing Ethnic Intimidation Act and expand the categories of people protected by the law. The new bill would include “sexual orientation” and “gender identity or expression” as classes protected against intimidation (Daily Caller).
Daily Wire: Distinguished Professor Emeritus William Wagner, a former federal judge and legal counsel in the U.S. Senate, joined the chorus of politicians and lawyers warning against the bill. Wagner said that under HB 4474, someone could listen to a speaker such as a religious preacher or read a conservative writer and claim they’re being intimidated because their “perceived gender identity” is under attack. Under the legislation, intimidation and harassment could be up to the interpretation of the listener and a local prosecutor, according to Wagner, who added that the bill determines what is criminal “after the action,” the opposite of the due process required by the Constitution (Daily Wire).

To what extent is this proposed bill modeled after Shariah blasphemy laws that forbid criticism of Islam or the “prophet” mohammed or any of its tenets?

Islam was the snake carried into our house so it would bite. This is one way it bites.
The venom from the bites is cumulative over time. The larger the population, the more bites and the more venom.
The bites distract us from the treasonous hands that carried the snake into our house in the first place. The Democrats embraced Islam and gave them positions of authority. The Democrat’s central bank, the foreign bank called the Federal Reserve Bank, pinned the US dollar (their currency) to the international sale of oil (for 49 years) that was primarily produced and priced by Muslims.
The Democrat Party is a foreign controlled domestic enemy waging war against our Republic and against The People of our Republic.

Usually when a politician introduces an off-the-wall bill, there is little expectation that it will move beyond its introduction. But, the politician can show his or her constituents that the bill was introduced to benefit them. e.g.: A politician introduces a bill to give all blacks in the state $500K, as reparation for slavery. But, in these topsy-turvy times, these absurd bills are actually getting traction in the legislature. If passed, the courts are the last resort to reset things.

On Tuesday June 27th, the US Supreme Court came down with an opinion that makes this proposed law unconstitutional. The gist of the opinion is that causing someone to feel threatened, or even causing a reasonable person to feel threatened, is not enough for a conviction. The prosecution would have to prove that the person making the threats intended them as threats for a conviction. And that is not an element of the bill at issue.

This immoral and criminal fake law was already imposed in “Canuckistan” by Pierre Trudope in his creation of the “Canuckistani Inhuman Blights Commission” and identified as Section 13 that was booted after a CHRC judge ruled it to be unconstitutional. Now Justie “Castro” wants it installed again. Section 13 was known to be bigoted and was defended by a fake lawyer saying that “Truth is not a defence in this court.” (KANGAROO STAR CHAMBER WHERE A 99.9% CONVICTION RATIO OCCURRED AGAINST DEFENDANTS, ALL STRAIGHT WHITE PEOPLE. So it is being recycled by the USA and its ragtag leftist elements. Whooda thought!!!

Once freedom of speech is neutered, the constitution itself becomes irrelevant. The 1st Amendment protects all speech, not just the politically correct or the religiously recognized.

Needs to go to the Supreme Court. If this is on the State level this law will not do well for the state citizens. Do not allow Sharia, do not allow this hate speech law due to who define what hate speech is. This will get out of hand as it has in Europe, China, Russia, etc. Shame on Michigan!

My concern is (among the obvious) is how this law will be interpreted by the police and the courts? Will someone be “feel” threatened just because they are momentarily stared at? If the stare is done momentarily, or out of curiosity? There is a legal principle calling” staring with malicious intent” (see https://Lawyer.Zone). But how will that be interpreted? I do not see how this thing can stand constitutional muster!

This can be used against the left–any conservative can claim that they are being intimidated by drag shows, LGBT+ propaganda, gender pronouns, etc. Best approach is to use weapons of the left against them.

Well, I guess the USA will have a new state known as Marxigan. They passed Proposal 3 in the last election and it takes away any authority parents have over their children.
More evidence that Democrats want a Communist country after all it was their god, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, who who was cousin to the actual author of the Communist Manifesto. No it was not Karl Marx, but Clinton Roosevelt, who wrote the actual Communist Manifesto.
Compare what Clinton Roosevelt, who published his Science of Government Founded on Natural Law, in 1841, to what Karl Marx write in 1848: Proposal 3, IMHO, did in Marxigan #12.
