Churches Embrace Pride Month With Drag Queen Story Hour, Queer Proms And Gay Concerts

Churches are hosting drag story hours, queer proms and events to help liberate themselves “from the Bible as a weapon of exclusion” for this year’s Pride month.
A Maryland church is advertising its upcoming drag queen story hour with “Mama Belle” and encouraging children to “be themselves,” arguing that even Jesus “used tools employed by drag artists!”

A 2020 study from the University of California Los Angeles School of Law Williams Institute found that 47% of Americans who identified as LGBTQ also considered themselves moderately or highly religious, according to NBC News. As June goes into full swing, houses of worship in Ohio, New York, California and Maryland are hosting several Pride-themed events.
First Presbyterian Church in Columbia, Maryland, is hosting a drag queen story hour on June 11 with drag queen “Mama Bella” for children of all ages, according to the event page. Another webpage, which has since been taken down and archived, went into a further explanation of the purpose of the event and argued that it creates a space for children to “be themselves.”
“The costumes and imaginative presentation of the Drag Queen enhance the story as the storyteller themselves is conveying a story through their dramatic appearance and performance,” the church explained. “Additionally, by breaking down barriers of traditional gender norms, drag queens help to create an atmosphere that is both open, accepting, and free of anything that could inhibit imagination. If even, drag queens provoke questions, that in of itself is evidence that they are opening the gateway to wonder and engagement.”
The church claimed that drag queen story hours are safe for children because the events were “created by a mother (who is a member of the LGBTQ+ community) for she and her child to enjoy, and experience together.” The church also said that the story hours show that “[o]ne could say that Jesus used tools employed by drag artists!”
Trinity Church Wall Street in New York City is encouraging young people to attend its “Youth Queer Prom” sponsored by Trinity Gender Sexuality Alliance (GSA). The prom is only for teens in 9-12th grade that identify as LGBTQ+ and will feature “dancing, fashion, snacks, swag, and great music,” according to the event page.
All Saints Church in Pasadena, California, hosted a “Somewhere Over the Rainbow Queer Prom” on June 2 and a Drag Queen Bingo Hour on June 4 following a regular Sunday service, according to the church’s website. The church has several other LGBTQ events planned throughout the month including a Pride Movie Night screening of “The Wizard of Oz” on June 16 and an event titled “But the Bible Says” on June 11 to help religious members liberate themselves “from the Bible as a weapon of exclusion … [and] to dismantle the misuse of our sacred texts as weapons of mass discrimination.”
Canon Susan Russell, a reverend at the church, told the Daily Caller News Foundation that the “But the Bible Says” program is offered occasionally to church members to unpack the “biblical context” for passages that have been used against the LGBTQ community.
“It includes the historical note that just as a handful of texts out of context were used in the 17th century to brand Galileo a heretic, a handful of texts out of context are being used in our time to stigmatize LGBTQ+ people — and that the Bible is neither a text book on Astronomy nor Human Sexuality but of faith in a God who created us all in love and calls us to love one another,” Russell said. “Recognizing that good people of deep faith read the same Bible and come to different conclusions on a whole variety of issues — sexual orientation and gender identity being among them — our hope is to equip our parish members to be in dialogue with those with whom we differ while affirming the inherent dignity and belovedness of every member of our human family.”

The church helps people violate our border.
The church helps import Muslims, and even tells Christians to embrace them.

In other words “The road to hell is paved with good intentions.” BTW, liberal Jews also do this by mis-thinking that they are giving charity to others. Didn’t some Protestants believe that attaining wealth was a sign of the Almighty’s favor? Judeo-Christian theology is clear on what is sinful.

Thanks Lily. My sister is gay and belongs to a gay Synagogue which they justify as there is no spilled seed sin of Onan in gay women and I do not harbor any animosity towards her as she was born that way and our family accepted her lifestyle BUT a long time ago she declared that gays were not interested in same sex marriage and she has since become very leftist in her politics and we do not speak anymore. She is very bright and is a civil rights attorney and cannot see any signs of dementia in joe biden and hates Trump and cannot say why except that she hated Reagan “who forced abortions on women.” Tolerance of that lifestyle is something that I have no moral problem with as a small percentage of humans are homosexual but pushing it on heterosexual kids is wrong. That community has come a long way from let us live our lives in peace to lets force it on children and the predominately heterosexual world. Trans is another thing and combining their numbers with pedos and others strengthens their political power but they have nothing in common. The Judeo-Christian faiths are targeted to change their theology but Islam will not. BTW she adopted a female child who unfortunately is very heterosexual. Sad to say the least.

They are doing it all for money… their “30 pieces of silver” (government and NGO funding) will give them no excuse one day as they stand before a Holy God to give account of all of the many lives they ruined (women and girls abused and raped, burden of American Citizens as taxpayers, theft by giving government services meant for citizens, murders committed, drugs pouring across the border to kill millions, etc.).

If America had fewer members of the largest religious cult, the Democrat Party, things would be better.
The percentage of real Christians and Jews is declining while thanks to the Democrat Party the numbers of Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists and Muslims is rising. Of course the satanists are growing in number too.

Deuteronomy 22:5 has two prohibitions wrapped into one verse.
“A woman shall not wear man’s clothing, nor shall a man put on a woman’s clothing; for whoever does these things is an abomination to the LORD your God.”
The Hebrew word translated “abomination” means “a disgusting thing, abominable, in the ritual sense (of unclean food, idols, mixed marriages), in the ethical sense of wickedness.” The meaning here is that this “cross-dressing” and transvestism is done in order to deceive, or to present oneself as something that he/she is not. In other words, this speaks to a woman changing her dress and appearance so as to appear to be a man and a man changing his dress and appearance so as to appear to be a woman. This is the definition of cross-dressing or a transvestism. It does not speak to a woman putting on a pair of slacks, or a man wearing a woman’s ski hat. The issue here is the motive and attitude of the heart that is evidenced in the choice to rebel against God’s standard for obedience.
These are principles we can use to reason an application. Whatever the prevailing custom, men and women should wear gender-appropriate clothing, dressing decently and in order (1 Corinthians 14:40). To apply the principles, the Bible calls cross-dressing or transvestitism a choice that is a demonstration of unbelief and rebellion against God and His order.

Being Jewish I have no dog in this fight but when I drove past a local Episcopal church today they proclaimed on their sign that they embraced Pride Month. Sad that Christianity embraces that which the Judeo-Christian Bible proclaims as sinful. Hate the sin love the sinner, not.

These “churches” aren’t abiding by Judeo-Christian values, they have cast their lot with G-dless, Satanic, amoral, perverted, radical fringe Greenwich Village/San Francisco/Fire Island/Key West “values.” That “flag” is no different than Muslim proclamations of supremacy such as a megamosque in a residential area or loudspeakers in the middle of town blaring Muslim prayers five times a day at deafening volumes. It speaks of who – or what, or which – controls things there.
To paraphrase Anne Marie Waters as originally about the Islamization of Rotherham in Yorkshire, “It’s not inclusive or diverse, it’s LGBTQ, and those in that ‘community’ use their positions of power to further impose their bathhouse ‘values’ on the people whether they like it or not.”

The Gay Trans Lesbian affirming Churches are left wing denominations known as the 7 sisters churches, Theyve been pushing left wing socialist policies and ideology for a long time.
There are also the conservative, pro heterosexual, traditional marriage, anti abortion churches that hold to traditional 2000 year old biblical doctrines.
Jesus Himself told us that at the end of the age, He will put the Sheep on His right, and the goats on His left. The sheep are accepted by Christ into the Lambs supper because they fed the hungry, visited the sick and those in prison, but the goats who think they’re saved will not be there, they will spend eternity in hell for working against Jesus and not doing what He said but propagated unrighteousness instead.

This is not surprising. The Book of Jeremiah exposes the failure of shepherds to watch over the flocks, the congregations. We are seeing that even in America’s Bible belt where they put signs out for BLM and the rainbow flag they stole from our Creator who gave us the rainbow as His promise.

We have been the military and economic muscle of a very evil and very deceptive coalition. You could call that coalition a beast. Hindsight tells us we were not defending our Republic or ourselves.
