War on appliances continues as Biden admin releases new rules for dishwashers

Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart blasts Biden over border neglect as Title 42 nears end: ‘The consequences are deadly’
Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart, R-Fla., warns of the consequences of allowing Title 42 to expire without putting forth a plan to curb the border crisis.
The Department of Energy proposed new appliance rules that would cut water and energy use limits for Americans’ dishwashers well below current levels.
The proposal would limit dishwashers to using 3.2 gallons of water per cycle, far below the current federal limit of 5 gallons. The rules would also require manufacturers to reduce their products’ energy consumption by nearly 30%.
Most dishwashers on the market are already well below the federal standard of 5 gallons, with most using 3.5 gallons per cycle or less.
Dishwashers are not the only appliances Biden’s DOE has set its sights on, however, as the regulator is also considering crackdowns on washers, dryers and refrigerators that manufacturers say could reduce performance.

The Biden administration has made clear that the new limits are coming thanks to the president’s climate agenda.
“Collectively these energy efficiency actions … support President Biden’s ambitious clean energy agenda to combat the climate crisis,” the DOE wrote earlier this year.
The proposed rules come on the heels of a national reckoning over gas stoves. While top Democrats like Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer argued there was nothing to worry about, his own state banned gas stoves just last week.
“Nobody is taking away your gas stove,” Schumer tweeted in early February. “Shameless and desperate MAGA Republicans are showing us they will cook up any distraction to divert from real issues the American people want solved, like the debt ceiling.”

Just wait until he “finishes the job”. By then he will have banned indoor plumbing, ALL guns (of course), central heating/cooling, all attempts to make personal medical decisions, travel, financial freedom, any freedom of expression that is critical of the administration, and will have started, and lost, WW3. And he will have totally signed into the Great Reset and the Green New Deal.
Recent polls show that he still has over 40% of the people that will vote for him in 2024. Clearly, they would destroy the country rather than consider any other option.

You quote Ayn Rand and thank you for that but as an advocate of Objectivism I will tell you that Ayn Rand’s intellectual heir, Leonard Peikoff, has predicted that socialism-fascism in America is leading to a religious theocracy, a new religious Dark Age within the next 50 to 100 years. Whether that theocracy will be Christian or Muslim cannot be predicted.
Judaism prepared the ground for Christianity and both prepared the ground for Islam and socialism. Socialism is essentially Judeo-Christianity in disguise, religion cloaked in pseudo-scientific jargon, it shares with religion all the philosophical essentials of religion.
The only way to maintain a totalitarian dictatorship indefinitely is through a theocracy, with a religion that promises utopia in the after-life, after you’re dead. There is no other way that people will put up with all the poverty, misery, pain, and suffering on earth, which totalitarianism results in, except if you convince them that they will be rewarded with an eternal utopia after they’re dead.
Religion prepared the ground for socialism and socialism is preparing the ground for a return to theocracy. Why? Because socialism is essentially the fish of religion out of religious waters and must return to the water of religion to survive.

Oddly enough the manufacturers (miele) of my dishwasher say that tests show that their new model uses less water and less energy that washing by hand. Plus you can set it to wash overnight, it’s very quiet as well and it lets you know when it needs more salt, rinsaid and so on. Very clever, buy now while stocks last or they are made illegal. A snip at £1200 (UK)
