It is time for a little laughter in this never-ending pandemic situation. So, this month's prompts are intended to inspire funny stories. Do you remember something hysterical that happened to you or someone you know? Do you have a story about being overwhelmed in December that you inadvertently made some silly mistake? A Little Comedy Writing Prompts PDF

This prompt might help a writer think of a funny story or some good jokes they know. Pretend it is your turn to speak at a work or community group special night. How could you take a turn entertaining the crowd? There is also a picture-only prompt. 

Next is an Erma Bombeck-type prompt. Overwhelmed people inadvertently can do silly things. Bombeck teaches writing workshops. Channel your inner Erma and see what kind of story you can come up with. 

Have you heard of @dudewithasign on social media? His cardboard signs are fun to read. They are irreverent, attention-getting, or just plain silly. His arms must get very tired. This tree has a sign in a similar style. What would you write on a sign like this? 

Here is a helpful sign. Have you seen similar signs? This is wooden and intentional. Is it silly or what? What signs have you noticed that you could write about?
