February 15th of the Month Writing Prompts Freebie

February 15th of the Month Writing Prompts Freebie

February 15th of the Month Writing Prompts Freebie

February brings several holidays that are included in this month's writing prompts: Groundhog Day, Valentines' Day, Presidents' Day, and African American History Month. There are several prompts both with a writing stem and without and people may select the idea that gives inspiration.

What does this key unlock? Someone's heart? A secret box? A door? A box with lost love letters? A room in an attic? Oh, dear!

On a more practical note, an actual Valentine might be written. Or one you wish you could send? Or one that of your characters might send to another character? Or compose a long-lost Valentine just discovered in a box in a basement.

President's Day is in February. Schools may have a holiday that day giving a day for families to enjoy. Or, perhaps you would like to write about a President.

Who doesn't love dogs? Perhaps a story about a current or former pet is in order this month.

For Groundhog Day, there is a cartoon to describe in case you are fresh out of groundhog ideas.

Additional pages are included. As always, some have text prompts and some are picture-only. Each writer will be able to select something to inspire a writing piece.
