I have a confession. My usual weeknight pizza is made from a box. We love the Chef Boyardee Pizza Kit. It is Chicken Legs’ favorite pizza. He prefers it over any other pizza – homemade or restaurant. I didn’t have a pizza kit in the pantry for pizza night last week, so I made a quick pizza crust from Bisquick. I was worried that Chicken Legs’ wouldn’t like it, but he declared that he liked it better than the Chef Boyardee crust. WOW! He really, really likes the Chef Boyardee, so I knew the crust was a keeper.
How to Make Bisquick Pizza Crust
With only two ingredients, this pizza dough is a snap to make. Simply mix together the Bisquick and hot water. Stir the mixture until it forms a ball. Lightly coat the dough with some olive oil and place in a bowl. Cover the dough with a towel and let it rest in a warm place for about 10 minutes or so.
Once the dough has rested, place it on a pizza pan or on some parchment paper and press/roll out into a circle. Top the dough with your favorite pizza sauce, cheese, and toppings. Pop the pizza in the oven and you are done.

This is a thin, and crispy pizza crust it was fantastic! We loved how quick this was to make. My new go-to pizza crust.
Family ate every bite. I made three portions for a very hungry family of six plus one as their auntie was over. Rolled thin and made six smaller pies on stone. Held up to toppings well. And we did a little garlic butter brushed in the crust. We all agree we will do this instead of take out from now on busy weeknights.
Thanks for the recipe. It came out perfect!
I’ve read that adding 1 Tbls of flour gives the crust more like a pizza crust vs a biscuit crust. Can you tell me if you’ve tried this and which one you think is closer to the Chef Boyardee crust, which I love too?
I think this version is really close to the Chef Boyardee crust. I haven’t tried adding a tablespoon of flour. If you try that, let us know how it turns out.
Probably a silly question and I can’t find if it’s stated. What size pizza does this make?
I’m only asking to see if I could cook this in the toaster oven or would I need to use my full size oven.
Thanks!
It will just depend on how thick you roll the crust. I roll it out to be about 12″ to 14″ and use my regular oven. You could make two small pizzas instead of one big pizza for the toaster oven.
making this tonight! I wanted the CB box kit as thats what my mom used to use. It was one of my favorite meals as a kid. Shes been deceased for 2yrs now, today is her birthday and Im celebrating her by making this pizza. <3 I was able to find the sauce so thats good! Hope this crust is similar, by the sounds of it, it is. Plus I havent had this in over 40 years….so will I remember? who knows.
This recipes is easy and I love it
