Do I cook the tater tots or leave them frozen
no – just toss them in frozen
We made this up and put it in ziplock bags then froze it to take camping. So good even after being frozen. Family favorite here
Can this recipe be made in a crockpot? How?
Yes – combine all the ingredients and pour into a 6-qt slow cooker. Cook on LOW for 4 to 6 hours.
I look forward to trying this, but I’m not a sour cream fan. I cook with it sometimes, but would it make much difference if I used half a container instead of the full 16oz? Don’t want it to be dry… thanks!
I think it would be dry, but you can definitely try it.
Looks amazing! Do you bake this covered or uncovered?
Thank you!
I bake it uncovered
I make this recipe often. We don’t like the original tater tot hot dish so this is a better version. I like to put pickles, ketchup, and mustard on mine my husband, not so much.
