Perennial Lavender DSP Scraps

 Hello and thanks for visiting!

Today's cards use scraps from the Perennial Lavender DSP.  The first is inspired by Sketch #45 from Stampin' Pretty's Sketchbook, and includes the Paper Butterfly Accents, #162612 and the sentiment from Perennial Postage Stamp Set, #162598 retiring at the end of April 2024.  And exciting news, the Perennial Lavender DSP will carry over into the new Annual Catalogue coming May 2024.

The second card, literally uses leftover strips of DSP, in various sizes.  It uses the same stamp set, and features the Pecan Pie 3/8 Centre Strip Ribbon, #162744 available from the Online Exclusives section of my store.

***  The Trix  ***

*  Cut three pieces of DSP, 1" x 5"; 1 1/2" x 4 1/2"; 2 1/4" x 4" and adhere them to a Crumb Cake card base.  ***Trix, adhere the 1 x 5 piece on the centre of the card base,  then layer the other pieces using the measurement lines on a piece of Grid Paper, #130148 to create even spacing and placement.

*  Adhere a Paper Butterfly Accent, #162612 to a Crumb Cake circle cut from the Stylish Shapes Dies, #159183.  Then adhere the circle to the card base with dimensionals.

*  Stamp the sentiment from the Perennial Postage Stamp Set with VersaMark™ Ink, #102283 onto a 1/2" x 4 1/4" piece of Highland Heather cardstock.  Heat Emboss with White Embossing Powder, #15554 *(this product will be repackaged in the next Annual Catalogue, so check for a new Item Number)

***Trix adhere the sentiment strip and double up the dimensionals on the left and right side of the strip for added dimension.

***  The Trix *** for the Scrappy Strip card

*  The card base is Highland Heather with a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of distressed Highland Heather on top.  Emboss the layer first with the Painted Posies 3D Embossing Folder, #159175 for a bit of added texture.

*  Rip the strips of DSP before adhering to the card.  ***Trix, add to the distressed look by angling the pieces slightly, and only add glue to the centre of the strips.  Use random sized strips, 5/8" to 7/8" pieces and anything in between.

*  Create the ribbon sentiment by tying Crumb Cake Baker's Twine, #155475 around a loop of Pecan Pie 3/8 Centre Strip Ribbon, ***Trix, fray the ends of the ribbon before adhering to the card with glue.  Emboss the sentiment and cut out with Paper Snips, #103579, then adhere to the ribbon with glue.

A Sweet & Simple Card with Perennial Lavender DSP

 Hello and thanks for visiting!

Today's simple card showcases the beautiful Perennial Lavender DSP, #162593 .  If you like to make multiples of cards, and switch up the sentiment, then this simple card is for you.

This is sketch #74 from Stampin' Pretty's Sketchbook.  I used Bakers Twine in place of the leaves surrounding the sentiment.  This sketch is so versatile, use your favourite DSP and mix and match with embellishments and/or die cut shapes.

***  The Trix  ***

*  The DSP measures 4 x 5 1/4, ***Trix, to make 6 cards from one sheet of 12 x 12 dsp, cut 1 1/2 inches off the bottom of your DSP first. (leaving one long strip for future projects)

*  The Highland Heather card base is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.  The tiny smidge of Basic White border around the 4 x 5 1/4 DSP is a 16th of an inch bigger than the DSP layer, just to provide a bit of visual interest.

*  Create a layered sentiment with complimentary DSP.  ***Trix, the sentiment size determines the measurements, so change it up to meet your needs.  This Basic White sentiment piece is 3" x 1 1/8", stamped with Gorgeous Grape ink, the DSP is 2 1/2" x 1 5/8".  The sentiment comes from the Crafting With You Stamp Set, #161219.

*  Adhere the sentiment rectangle to the DSP rectangle with glue, then adhere the Bakers Twine, #155475 to the back with Stampin' Seal before adhering to the card base with dimensionals.

A Little Latte Suite with Fun Patterns Embossing Folder

 Hello and thanks for visiting!

I just had to share a couple more cards from my playtime with A Little Latte Suite, #163466 available March 5th 2024 in the Online Exclusives section of my online store.

The first one uses last weeks sketch from The Paper Players, if you misses that post, please click here to find the measurements and the ***Trix.  I've shifted the DSP down on the card to balance out the size of the coffee carafe.  Now I'm excited to try out different pieces of DSP for the carafe.

This card also features the Fun Patterns Embossing Folder, #163790.  I could see a fun pattern like this on wallpaper in a coffee shop :)

The second card features the 'A Little Latte' DSP, #163453 and I've snuck in a piece of Softly Stippled DSP (from this past Sale-A-Bration) for one of the layers.

***  The Trix  ***

* Add a bit of texture to the card base with an embossed Petal Pink 4 11/4 x 5 1/2 layer.  I used an old fave called Subtle Dynamic.

*  Adhere a 3 1/4 x 4 piece of Softly Stippled DSP to the card base then a 3 1/4 x 3 3/4 layer of A Little Latte DSP.

*  Use the Latte Love Dies, #163460 to create the carafe and adhere to the card with dimensionals.

*  Stamp the sentiment from the Latte Love Stamp Set, #163455 on Basic White cardstock and adhere with dimensionals and glue.  Embellish with gems of choice.  I used Opaque Faceted Gems from this past Sale-A-Bration.

Latte Love for The Paper Players

 Hello and thanks for visiting!

Today's card is inspired by Anne Marie's Sketch Challenge over at The Paper Players.  I was particularly inspired by Ann Schach's card, the combination of patterns she chose was brilliant!  And since I am challenged when it comes to combining patterns, I decided to give it a go with a new favourite of mine the A Little Latte DSP, #163453.

The 'A Little Latte Suite", #163466 will be available March 5th, 2024 from the Online Exclusives page.  Check out the current Online Exclusives here .

***  The Trix  ***

*  Adhere a 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 piece of A Little Latte DSP, #163453 to a Pecan Pie card base.

*  Adhere a 2 x 3 1/2 piece of Petal Pink and a 2 x 4 1/2 piece of DSP as per the sketch.

***Trix, reinforce the DSP layer with a scrap piece of cardstock and pop it up with dimensionals.

*  Emboss the sentiment from the Latte Love Stamp Set, #163455 with White Embossing Powder on a 1/2" x 3 1/2" piece of Pecan Pie cardstock and adhere to the card with dimensionals.

*  Cut a cup from the DSP, adhere with dimensionals, and embellish with Adhesive Backed Swirl Dots, #163464, coming March 5th :)
