Donald Scarinci

Donald Scarinci was appointed to the CCAC in 2005 based on the recommendation of the Senate Minority Leader.

Donald has collected coins and medals since his teenage years in high school. His primary interests include colonial coins, United States commemorative coins, world coins and moderns. He has assembled one of the largest privately held collections of art medals in the United States.

Donald has been a member of the Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee since 2005 when he was first appointed by Secretary of the Treasury John W. Snow. He is a fellow member of the American Numismatic Society and a life member of the American Numismatic Association. He serves as a member of several prestigious committees for coin and medal designs including the J. Sanford Saltus Award and the Krause Coin of the Year Award.

Professionally, Donald is the senior partner at Scarinci Hollenbeck, LLC, one of the largest law firms in New Jersey. He edits a popular blog about Constitutional Law, and has authored three books: “David Brearley and the Making of the US Constitution” (2005), “Redistricting by Commission in the United States” (2010), and “The Krause Coin of the Year” (2015).
