You don't need to know much about computers to understand that being asked to print a video file is a stupid endeavor, but this manager wasn't having it. Apparently this was the last thing on top of a pile of other complaints that led to her professional demise.
This thread was posted on Reddit's r/MaliciousCompliance subreddit by u/deeba_, who smartly did exactly what was asked of them while armed with plenty of evidence against the Karen because they assumed they would file a complaint with HR. The best part of the story, however, is the ending, when the Redditor used their overtime pay to buy everyone in the office cupcakes after Karen's last day. Imagine being that hated in your office that everyone literally throws a party to celebrate your departure. Imagine that being your lasting impact on the company.
Sometimes managers really don't know what's up, leading to stories like this employee who robbed a museum to prove a point. Here's another one about an Aunt Karen who offered exposure for art payment and her scam fell apart.
