First I have this cute little fall basket box – very simple to make with a few punches and an embossing folder.  Scroll down to see the steps for making the acorn.

Two more super simple little boxes decorated with a punch and some paper scraps to look like Santa and his elf.

And another adorable Santa! Tune in to tomorrow's blog post for the steps to build this little cutie!

These are what the dies from the set look like when you cut them out.  You need to cut out two of the box shape to build your box.

Inside my little acorn basket is a cute acorn shaped gift card from Starbucks and some chocolate. I added some Copper Trim to the gift card since it had a hole for ribbon.

To make a basket instead of a box I simply cut off the flaps of the box before assembling.

To build the acorn I used the Lemon Builder punch along with Soft Suede and Crumb Cake cardstock.

For the "cap" on the acorn I punched out a little more then half of the lemon the long way on a strip of Soft Suede cardstock.

I embossed both the acorn and the cap with the Subtle Embossing Folder.

The Subtle embossing folder adds a linen like texture to your cardstock.

The leaf with the stem from the Lemon Builder Punch became the stem of the acorn.

I put some adhesive on the back of the cap, attached the acorn, and then attached the leaf so the stem stuck out above the cap. The stamp "Enjoy" is from the Takeout Treats stamp set that is available as a bundle with the dies.  I used a 3/4" Circle Punch to punch out the word.

To make the simple Santa box, I cut out a box in Real Red and assembled it. Then I cut out a "beard" by placing a strip of Whisper White card stock in my Pretty Little Label Punch and punched out a portion. I attached it to the top of the box and trimmed the ends to fit. Next I added a strip of Basic Black cardstock, 1/2" wide x 2" to the box and trimmed off the ends to fit the box and match the slant of the side. I adhered a 3/4" x 3/4" square of Gold Glimmer Paper to the center of the black strip.  Then I adhered a 1/2" x 1/2" square of Basic Black cardstock to the center of the Glimmer square.

The elf box was created the same way as the Santa, but I punched a strip of Real Red cardstock with the Pretty Little Label Punch and did not slide the punch in as far.

I used the stamps from the Takeout Treats stamp set and some of the other dies in the set to decorate the backside of the box.
