Stampin’ Up! Sending Hugs for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!!  We’ve got a color challenge to work with today and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table!  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

Yesterday I got my first non-pre-order order from the new catalog and I was awash with wonderfulness.  It was a hard decision to pick what to play with first – have I mentioned that I love WAAY too much in this new offering?!?  But – our color challenge and a photo inspiration challenge sealed the deal and I pulled out the Sending Hugs stamp set and bundled Layering Hugs dies.  Take a look-see:

So – this card has many CASE’d elements from the sample card for this bundle in the new catty.  It was the card that persuaded me that I NEEDED this set!

Here’s our color challenge for the week.

And the photo from The Card Concept was also inspirational.  I’d say my card is Clean & Layered. Yes? 🙂

I started with a piece of Basic White that I embossed in the new Bark 3D Embossing Folder (LOOOOVE!!!) and matted on Pale Papaya for the card front.

On a smaller piece of Basic White, I used my Stamparatus to stamp the big floral sentiment image from Sending Hugs in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.

I tore the right edge of the panel to get it all the way down to its final size.

Using my Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent, Pale Papaya, Fresh Freesia and Polished Pink Stampin’ Blends, I colored the gorgeous flowers and leaves.  Then I popped the panel onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I adhered a piece of Pale Papaya paper from the Hand-Penned DSP to a piece of Foam Adhesive sheet and ran it thru my Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine with the “HUGS” die in place.  This is so cool – it’s a single die that cuts all the letters at once!

I peeled the backing off my letters and adhered them in place over the stamped sentiment.

On another piece of Basic White, I stamped the small floral image from Sending Hugs in Tuxedo Black and colored them with my Polished Pink and Soft Succulent Stampin’ Blends, then cut them with the matching die in Layered Hugs.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the three flowers together into a little bouquet, then adhered them to the card front – tucking the stems “into” the popped-up sentiment.

I tied a little bow from the Crumb Cake twine in the new Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack and adhered it with a Glue Dot.

I stamped the Sending Hugs sentiment in Polished Pink on a piece of Pale Papaya card stock and cut it with the larger label die in the Layered Hugs set.

I used Liquid Glue on the left side of the sentiment and a double-stack of Stampin’ Dimensionals on the right side and stuck it over the bow.

A Fresh Freesia 2021-2023 In Color Jewel finished off the card front.

For the inside, I stamped the small floral from Sending Hugs twice in Tuxedo Black and colored them with the Polished Pink and Soft Succulent Blends.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Pale Papaya mat and into my Evening Evergreen card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Sending Hugs flower on the front…

…and more Hand-Penned DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  See why I NEEDED to have this Sending Hugs stamp set?  By itself it’s beautimous….add the amazing Layered Hugs dies (bundled for a 10% savings!) and BOOM!  It’s a bit of a fly-over set, but…enter holding when you come across it on page 19!  I think you’ll love it like I do!  And – ALL the 2021-2023 In Colors together on one card?!?  You betcha – this group of colors is AMAZING together!! 🙂
