December Stamp-of-the-Month: Snow Place Let It Snow

The adorable snowmen and penguin from the Snow Place stamp set are "snow" much fun!  This set comes with all kinds of winter weather accessories to adorn these snowy friends!  It's like playing paper dolls!  This would be a fabulous stamp set for creating holiday paper crafts with kids!  The characters look playful & festive on gift tags & treats for not only the holidays, but all winter long!

Background Basics—I started by adhering a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of the Holiday Fancy Foil Vellum snow pattern to a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Bermuda Bay card stock.  I dabbed the SNAIL adhesive behind each of the snowflakes, so that it wouldn't show through the vellum as much.  You can hardly see it!  The layer is adhered to a Pool Party card base.

Snowy Sentiment—I stamped the Snow Place sentiment in Archival Black Ink onto the bottom corner of a 3-3/4" x 2" piece of Whisper White, then tore across the top of it to make a snowy landscape.  It's adhered to the card front with SNAIL.

Penguin—I stamped the Snow Place penguin in Archival Black Ink, then die-cut out the shape with the coordinating Snow Friends Framelits.  His beak and feet are colored in with a Tangelo Twist marker. 

Dress-Up Time—Now comes the fun part—dressing him up!  I wanted him to look dapper!  Since he's already in his tuxedo, all he needed was a top hat, bow tie and candy cane!  His hat was colored in with a Bermuda Bay marker and his tie was stamped in matching Bermuda Bay ink.  The cane is Cherry Cobbler.  All of the pieces are cut out with the Snow Friends Framelits—there's a framelit for EVERY accessory to make it EASY!  Pop everything up with Dimensionals and he really comes to life!

Twinkling Snow—I finished off the card by adding Rhinestone Jewels to all of the background vellum snowflakes!  Sparkly goodness!

He's so cute!  He's so cute!  He's SO CUTE!

Two Cool—Of course, I had to try a horizontal version with the two snowmen, too! 

Snowy & Warm—These two were feeling quite cold, so I bundled them up with a Cherry Cobbler Santa hat, Bermuda Bay scarf and Cherry Cobbler earmuffs.  The set comes with long & short branch arms, for both sizes of snowmen.  I love that they are added separately, because you can position them any way you want to make them very expressive!  They sure look like they are loving the snow!

Horizontal Hill—This horizontal hill started as a 5" x 2" piece of Whisper White.
