Stamp Review Crew - Love Of Leaves

Welcome to the Stamp Review Crew's Love of Leaves edition! The "Crew" is made up of a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world who pick a stamp set or bundle to highlight on the first and third Mondays of each month, with a bonus hop if there is a fifth Monday. If you landed here from Linda's blog, Stampin' Seasons, welcome! There are six of us today, so it won't take long to visit every stop!

The Love of Leaves bundle features an 11 piece photopolymer stamp set with a 13 piece Stitched Leaves Dies set. I had seen soooo many wonderful creations with this that I had to get it for myself!

I made two cards to share today. The first one uses the negative die cut over a Bumblebee mat with the stitched leaf veins in the mat.

I added Mango Melody and Poppy Parade with a sponge dauber to really bring out the leaf. It reminds me of what it looked like here a week ago. We are past the fall color peak now, and today's wind took most of the leaves off the trees.

The next card borrowed a border die from the Curvy Dies (available next week!). I love the polka dotted border with the plaid pattern! I used the leaf that was die cut out of the first card, sponged some Pretty Peacock on it, and added a Brushed metallic leaf on top.

The straight stitches at the top add some textural interest, as do the Metallic Pearls. I kind of really like this card..... must be the colors. 😊

That's my share for today, so hit that 'Next' button and jump on over to see what Holly at Rubber Redneck has made! Or, go back to see what Linda made again. 😉

  2. Cindy - I love both cards but the one in blue is definitely my favorite. It’s so unusual and the plaid is so gorgeous in it.
