MLA Kevin Doherty, Regina-Northeast

Lord, we thank you for Kevin, and the sacrifice that he has made to serve the people of Saskatchewan. Lord we ask that you bless him for his faithful service and that You would give him the place and position that You desire for him. Be with Kevin as he acts in the best interests of his riding in Regina-Northeast and the province at large. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.
First elected to the Saskatchewan legislature in 2011, Kevin was re-elected in April of 2016.
Kevin has served Saskatchewan as Minister of Finance and Minister of Advanced Education. He has also served as Minister responsible for SaskTel, Minister of Parks, Culture and Sport, and Minister responsible for the Provincial Capital Commission.
Prior to his career in politics, Kevin worked as a division director for Investors Group, the director of government relations for Bayer Healthcare, as well as the manager of provincial relations for GlaxoWellcome, and vice president of corporate relations at SaskPower.
Over the years Kevin has been very involved in the community – he is a former president of the University of Saskatchewan Students' Union, member of the University of Saskatchewan Board of Governors, vice chair of the Hospitals of Regina Foundation, member of the Regina Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, and former president of the Saskatchewan Special Olympics.
Kevin grew up on the family farm near Rose Valley, has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Saskatchewan, and formerly held a certified financial planner designation.
In his free time, Kevin enjoys spending time at the cabin in northern Saskatchewan, traveling, golfing, reading, motorcycling, and snowmobiling.
