The Stamp Review Crew - Coffee Café Edition

I'm so excited to be a new member of the Stamp Review Crew, and taking part in my first blog hop with them! We are featuring the Coffee Café stamp set, and you may have just arrived here from Natalie's blog Stamp Witch. I'm the last stop on the hop, but if you started with me, just follow the links at the bottom of each stop to see what the others have for you.

Since I'm such a coffee addict enthusiast, this set was a "must have" for me! The first thing I thought of was a card with a slider inside for a coffee gift card. The Coffee Cup Framelits made putting this together a snap, but I didn't realize until after I made the card (and fussy-cut the little coffee cup from Coffee Break DSP) that there is even a little Framelit to cut out that tiny cup!

You can bet I put that knowledge to use for my second project, a little treat box made from Window Sheet and the Coffee Break DSP. I cut the little cup twice, once in Whisper White Thick, and once in Crumb Cake. That gave me a wee lid and heat band for the cup! There is a belly band using the same patterned paper as the card, all tied up with Crumb Cake ribbon and linen thread.

This is filled with yummy Espresso candy, which is the perfect little treat to keep on your craft table. No risk of knocking over hot liquid!

That's all from me....up next on the hop is Sue Plote, over at This Pink Rooster. Thanks for stopping by!

  3. Wonderful projects, Cindy! I love your gift card holder. Trying to figure out how you did the closure. Your little box is too cute too! A tip for you, someone said that the little coffee mug framlit fits the little coffee mugs on the dsp. I haven't tried it yet, but you bet I will! So happy you are part of the crew now!

    1. Thanks, Twila! I used the Envelope Punch Board, and punched at the 1" mark on each side of the flap.

    1. Thanks, Natalie! The window sheets work quite well for small boxes....I haven't tried them with larger ones, yet.
