I’ve held off posting about the new release from Elemis because they’re really quite expensive and I wanted to put a bit more time into testing and trying the products out.
I’m focussing most on the Sleep Bath & Shower Elixir which is £55. It’s the product I most naturally gravitated to because I love a proper bath relax. Although my preference is for AA Deep Relax, I’ve used Dr Teal’s epsom salts recently and they’re pretty awesome too. So, I have two very differently priced benchmarks. Sleep Bath & Shower was lovely – there is no denying that – but it’s not as powerful in aroma as AA; it seems more delicate with elemi and palmarosa along with 11 other essential oils. I don’t know – I think I want an absolute blast of “RELAX” – a loud olfactory instruction if you like – rather than a waft. But that is personal choice. I did sleep well that night. However, I think I’d rather put my money on the Sleep Perfume Oil at £28.
The other product I used is Fortitude for strength of mind. I’m not sure that’s definable on any give day, and it’s impossible to say whether it actually worked on my fortitude but it did feel like a welcome and harmonious friend and stronger in nature than the bath elixir. I did really like the aroma of Ylang Ylang, Cedarwood and Geranium.
The pricing is holding me back from going all in with this new range but I’m mindful of the fact that if it was half the price I would be saying, buy it NOW!

I have been trying to find the full ingredient list for the bath elixirs, wanted to know the main carrier oil they used. All I find is the essential oils added. I was chatting with the SA from Neom and mention how the bath after using bath oils has a greasy feel. She said that was because they use cheap carrier oils to bulk up the products from quite a few companies. I mentioned Aromatherapy Associations oils I never had that problem. The Elemis range seems to be in the same price range. I would like to think they use 100% pure essential all the way?
Aromatherapy Associates use coconut as a carrier oil. There’s only a couple of pure essential oils you can you neat (I think lavender & tea tree). All others need to be in a base.
Ah just found out its sweet almond oil. So greasy bath for sure, also a pretty cheap oil for the main ingredient.
Of course, this new line is expensive.
But of course it looks luxurious
No option for sample just downloadable wallpaper for computer??!
I’m going to change the post – it’s ridiculous – I am certain there was a free sample at the time of writing, not a flippin wall paper..
