3ina Utility Collection

The Utility Collection from 3ina (pronounced Mina) is based on matte textures (apart from the lip crayons which are sheeny) and adventurous earth shades for graphic looks. In the unlikely event you don’t already have a contouring palette, the Face Palette is a warm toned version with matte powders. It’s £17.

There’s nothing to complain about with the Chubby Lipsticks – they’re very decent, nicely pigmented and actually have a bit of last to them but unless you’re going to opt for one of the more extreme shades, such as silver or ochre, they’re fairly pedestrian.

It’s only when you can see all the shades together in the swatch that the ‘utility’ notion becomes more apparent – the Eye Paints are white, yellow, green and blue. The only place I’ve seen primary colour graphic eyes is the catwalk – you wouldn’t really wear this as a ‘shadow’ as such but more to create a block eye – I mean, it’s not really a look for the Sainsbury’s run. Utility is a small collection – and there’s a video to give you ideas of how to wear it (it kind of just confirmed that it’s not a look for me!) – and not meant for masses but for a more specific and individual ‘statement’ make up looks. Eye Paints are £8.95 and Lipsticks are £7.95. You can find 3ina HERE.
