H.R. 3320 would authorize the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to take certain actions to improve the security of information and telecommunications systems acquired by the department.
DHS is currently carrying out activities similar to those required by the bill and any new activities required under the legislation would not require substantial action by the department. Thus, CBO estimates that implementing the bill would not have a significant cost; any spending would be subject to the availability of appropriated funds.
