Hi. I’m Darlene, & I’m here to help.

I’m Darlene Marshall, is holistic wellness expert with 13 years in the overlap between fitness, wellness, & wellbeing ~ helping others better understand themselves, one another, and our shared world.  I do that through movement, wellness coaching, teaching, speaking, writing, & content creation.

There’s not a simple title for what I do, but I’d love to tell you more about how I do it.

First, the qualifications:

I’ve got a Master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania’s Applied Positive Psychology program, where my studies focused on how to facilitate personal transformations through the tools of lifestyle: movement, nutrition, sleep, mindfulness, meditation, beliefs, and the relationship with the self.

Additional certifications include:

  • Certified Wellness Coach & Personal Trainer (NASM)

  • Certified Nutrition Coach (PN1)

  • Sleep Coach

  • Mindfulness and Meditation Instructor

  • 200 hr Yoga Teacher Trainer in Alignment Yoga

Just as important as that education, I’ve has worked with thousands through workshops, seminars, and 1on1 coaching applying scientific research out in the real world.

Here’s a deeper peek at my story:

Born and raised in Upstate New York, at 23 Darlene was diagnosed with a chronic illness and given a poor prognosis: “prepare yourself for a sedentary life”. She didn’t listen.

5 years later she was running, biking, hiking, and wondering “can I help other people who think they can’t get better?” ~ from the very beginning of her time spent as a personal trainer Darlene was taking the clients other people were afraid to work with… not only to lose weight, but to get their lives back.

7 years into her career in fitness Darlene wanted more. Not just to coach movement and nutrition, but how to help people make meaningful changes to their behavior, outlook, & mindset: their lives.

In 2020, whilst in the midst of COVID-19, Darlene completed her Master’s degree in Applied Positive Psychology, the scientific study of human well-being. Feeling there could not be a better time to focus on how to help people live full, fulfilling, meaningful lives she made the full time switch to coaching not just moving but living.

Now Darlene offers 1-on-1 coaching, group and corporate workshops, and continues to shape the fitness and wellness spaces with her thought leadership.
