New Hinduism Today App
lets the bird out of the cage

iphone showing app

The Hinduism Today App is now available to you, free.

Almost instantly, you can enjoy the Haridwar article and the entire current issue on your favorite hand-held device.

And we do mean the entire issue—exactly as it appears in the printed version, with all the beautiful graphics and layout intact, and even the ads with live links. It also comes with digital extras such as a glossary and a slew of cool digital features.

On that same device, you will be notified every three months that a new issue has been posted.

The launch of the app represents a fine breakthrough for Hinduism Today, and portends a good boost to its worldwide readership. Heretofore, it has been difficult and expensive to distribute the printed magazine into remote places. But today those same places are abuzz with cell phones and tablets on which Hinduism Today is now just a tap and a swipe away. An old dream may soon come true: Hinduism Today being available all around the world, reaching and inspiring kindred souls wherever they may be. The bird is finally out of the cage.

The Production Fund, though not directly involved in the advent of the app, does help the whole forward thrust of the magazine because, as it grows, the fund frees our editors more and more—makes them free of financial burdens and limitations, and free to continually imagine ways to improve and disseminate the magazine's invaluable content.

Since its inception in 1979, Hinduism Today's mission has been to reach as many Hindus and like-minded souls as possible and share the timeless gems that can utterly transform a person's life. There is a real need out there, which will only grow with time.

Today, we see more and more Hindus searching for clear, unambiguous knowledge about their faith and looking to Hinduism Today for answers... Over the next 50 years, I see that trend toward more interest in Hinduism continuing to grow, among Hindus everywhere and non-Hindus as well. I see a groundswell of enthusiasm that will parallel the growth of yoga over the past 50 years. Hinduism Today needs to be there, fully endowed, fully functional and able to continue its important work.
