The Greetery {Confetti Encore Collection} Release Day + SALE!

Hello and welcome, friends! It's RELEASE day for the Confetti Encore Collection from The Greetery! I have a bonus card to share with you today, but first I want to let you know about the Anniversary Sale that will be starting today and here is the direct link to the Confetti Encore Collection, but please note it will not be available for purchase until 10 am ET!
You can read the details here, but here are a few other things to make note of:

  • Sale starts at 10am EDT on Friday 4/26 and ends Saturday 4/27 at 11:59pm EDT, so TWO days only, no exceptions.
  • Rewards can NOT be used during the sale time
  • Select products are 15-50% off (products with additional mark-downs will be linked from the shop home page)
  • All BotaniCuts dies are 15% off
  • PLUS every order will receive an automatic 15% discount applied at checkout (this is in addition to the markdowns listed above - woot!

I decided to use the Hey Honeycomb Balloon die since that was the only one of the Hey Honeycomb products I didn't use during the 2 day countdown! I clearly had a glitter problem, but I really couldn't see how much I didn't brush away until I was editing the pictures! Ugh and LOL! Hopefully you can look past the festive glitter that seems to be EVERYWHERE! ha ha!

To begin, I used the Ticker Tape Hot Foil on an A2 panel of Brilliant Blue (SU!) cardstock using Aura foil. I set that aside and then die cut the pieces for both balloons. I chose the pink color based on which Honeycomb Ball I planned on using. For the blue balloon, I added the pink string and vice versa for the pink balloon. I heat embossed the "Celebrate" sentiment, which is from the Inflated Sentiments, and then die cut it using the circle included in the Hey Honeycomb Basics die set. I stamped the "it's your birthday" portion using Raspberry Fizz (PTI) ink.
I heat embossed the sentiments using the Hey Honeycomb sentiments stamp set and then die cut everything using the Hey Honeycomb Basics die set (including the star that was cut from Adhesive Sheets)

You can see how cute it will look when the recipient peels and sticks it open! I had another little gift leftover, so I added it to the bottom for additional birthday charm!

I added some of the streamers and some sequins, and GLITTER of course! ha ha! Maybe too much glitter, but I will make sure to brush it off before I give it to anyone! Thanks for fluttering by!

Papertrey Ink April Release Day 1

It's day one of the Papertrey Ink April release countdown! My first card features the new Blissful Blooms paired with the new Cover Plate Stitched! This floral set is whimsical and artsy!

It includes solid and outline images to create a playful design!

I'm not sure there are any set rules for how to use this set, so you can just play around and have fun!

It includes three sentiments: I chose this one because it's my favorite of the bunch!

My next set of cards uses the new Life's Great Adventure! This is such a fun new camping set!

This card also features the new Playful Stripes stencil collection.

I used the stamping guide for my color and layout ideas. I can't wait to play with this set more!

Some of my favorite images are the backpack and birthday banner.

I love the flannel blanket that you can add to the back of the chair!

And that cooler is pretty realistic!

This finishes up day 1! I have a big post coming tomorrow so stop by! Thanks for fluttering by!

The Greetery {Confetti Encore Collection} Day 2

As promised, I'm back with more inspiration from the Confetti Encore Collection from The Greetery! There's so much to share today, but first, you'll want to head to The Greetery Blog for the official "meet and greet" for each of the featured products today! Also, make sure to leave a comment here, and on each of the designers' blogs, for a chance to win one of two COMPLETE Confetti Encore Collection Bundles!!!
My first card for today features some of the featured products from yesterday paired with today's so to show you how well everything goes together!

There is a brand-new suite of products called Hey Honeycomb and I know you're going to love them as much as I do! This collection of products is designed to be used with the Honeycomb Balls that will available for purchase. You can see the holiday version of the Honeycomb Balls HERE! They are exactly the same, just different colors for this release!

This card uses the new Hey Honeycomb Party Hat die WITHOUT a Honeycomb ball to show you that they can be used with or without a ball attached. I have another card later on that DOES use a Honeycomb ball AND the new Hey Honeycomb Sentiments stamp set.

I mentioned yesterday that you would be seeing more streamers, tiny presents, and Ticker Tape hot foiling! I just love how each element comes together to bring the card to life!

The Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Four Square Birthday Tag die. The little flower at the top of the hat is from the Hey Honeycomb Basics die and you will see another use for that later on as well.

My next card features the adorable new Hey Honeycomb Ice Cream Cone die paired with the new What's the Scoop stamp set and die. I didn't think I would love this sweet set as much as I do! It's so much fun to create with and the results are just so cute!

To begin, I die cut the pieces to create the "scoop" word....there are coordinating stamps for each of the letters, but I simply used a finger dauber and ink to color the different letters and the chocolate "topping" and glued them together with liquid glue. I added the letters to the shadow using foam squares.

I inked up the ice cream dollops in the same colors and added the chocolate and cherry on top! The "thank you" has a coordinating die, which I love! It's so easy to add it over the top of the Ticker Tape hot foiled background (yep! I used it AGAIN!) ha ha!

The sentiment set has so many fun options; I chose to make something suitable to give to my son's teacher for Teacher Appreciation Week coming up!

I love that there is tiny cherry to add to the top of the "scoop" word, too! So many fun details!

My next project features the fun new Award Winning Die and the new Inflated Sentiments stamp set! This stamp set also works well with the Hey Honeycomb suite of products!

I mentioned yesterday that my birthday stash has been lacking, so I opted for a birthday sentiment, but there are SO many celebratory occasions to choose from in this new set!

I love how realistic the ribbons look, don't you? I can't wait to put them to use in another way!

I doubled the base piece on the ribbon for a fuller effect! I also used foam squares to give it dimension!

Okay! THIS project uses the new Hey Honeycomb Flower Power die WITH a Honeycomb Ball....I have pictures with it opened up later on, so stay tuned. I wanted you to see how it will look when the recipient gets it!

The Hey Honeycomb Basics die comes with the portion on the right and the portion on the left. You simply stamp/emboss (like I did) the words that you'd like. There are a few different options, but they all let the recipient know what to do.

I used the new Adhesive Sheets to die cut the little flower (that's the one I had on the top of my party hat). It has a backing so it's not sticky until the recipient peels it off.

and voila! You can see how cute it is with the Honeycomb Ball! The new assortment has such fun and bright colors, just perfect for a celebration!

The additional flowers are also included in the Hey Honeycomb Flower Power die set and they make the cutest accents! I also added streamers (of course), the Ticker Tape hot foil (of course) and a sentiment from Four Square Birthday Tags sentiments (of course)...I'm becoming SO predictable, aren't I? ha ha!
Well, this concludes today's projects! Make sure to leave a comment on the other designers' blogs for a chance to win one of the two prizes being offered today! Thanks for fluttering by!

The Greetery {Confetti Encore Collection} Day 1

I'm so thrilled to be here today as we begin the celebration for The Greetery's FIFTH birthday!!! Can you believe it? I've been busy as a little bee working on birthday-themed projects to share with you today! I was just lamenting that my birthday stash is dwindling and needed a refresh...this collection couldn't have come at a more perfect time! Make sure you head to The Greetery Blog for the official "meet and greet" for each of today's featured products! Also, make sure to leave a comment here, and on each of the designers' blogs, for a chance to win one of two $50 gift certificates to The Greetery Shop!

My first card for today features the new Flourished Phrases Birthday Stencil and die! To begin, I used the three different stencils to create the "phrase" and then die cut it using the coordinating die. Like the other "Flourished Phrases", there is an option to cut out the individual letters, which I did on a previous version of this card, but ended up not liking it, so it ended up in the circular file! ha ha! I used saltwater taffy distress oxide ink for the "flourishes", twisted citron and mowed lawn for the letters, and rustic wilderness for the shadow on the letters.

Once that was done, I prepared an A2 panel using the Airmail Border Stencil. I added the scalloped portions, which were created using the Ribbon Maker: Large Scallops die to the back of the panel using ScorTape. I trimmed it in half so I could use one piece for both edges. I layered this entire panel onto an A2 top-folding A2 card base, but as you can see, the scallops make it larger than an A2 card. The 3 dimensional gifts won't allow for an envelope anyway, so I figured I'd just have fun and not worry about certain parameters! This will definitely be a "hand-delivered" card or attached to a gift!

I had quite a bit of fun with the little gifts! Ever since Betsy made her Christmas tags with the little gifts attached, I've been itching to make some gifts myself and this was the perfect opportunity! You will see more little gifts tomorrow (wink)!

I used the Holiday Hatchback Toppers: Luggage Die to make the box shape along with the pierced "ribbons", but then I used the Gifts Galore Die for the bows and tags! I just love how they turned out...they remind me of Barbie gifts! ha ha! I also made some flower bundles using the Winter Medley die and tucked them here and there for additional detail!
My next project is a collection of tags using the new Four Square Birthday stamp set and die! These tags also feature the new Ticker Tape Hot Foil which you will be seeing a lot more of! It is the perfect celebratory background and yields such beautiful results. I have a Gemini foil machine and I set it to high and let it heat for 25 seconds! It turned out perfectly without any over-foiling!

I made a collection of four tags because it's easy to make four with the dies, but as you can see, I had so much fun mixing and matching cardstock that  I ended up cutting way more than  four! ha ha!

I used the Four Square Birthday stamps and dies for all of the sentiments; such a playful assortment!

You can see the hotfoiled detail a little bit better here on this closeup picture.

All of the tags are double layered; I glued them at the top and stamped a to: from: sentiment on the inside. I used some gold metallic baker's twine to add to each of the tags.

My third and final project for today is a bright and cheery birthday card featuring the incredible new Curly Q Streamers die and the new Celebration Streamers stamp + stencil. I used both of these two products for a dimensional card!

This card also features the new It's Your Day die; I cut it from gold mirror cardstock and then layered it onto an aqua shadow.

The back of the packaging for the Celebration Streamers stamp + stencil gives tips on how to make different colored streamers, so I followed those instructions for the colorful background. I die cut the streamers from white and then used ink to color the different pieces and then glued them together. I couldn't get enough of them, so you will see even more streamers tomorrow! The Happy Birthday sentiment at the bottom is from the new Four Square Birthday Tags stamp set. Well....this concludes my post for day 1, but join me again tomorrow for day 2! Don't forget to leave a comment on the other designers' blogs!

Simon Says Stamp Celebrate Release {Flower Power}

I'm thrilled to be helping with the Celebrate Release from Simon Says Stamp!  My card for today features the new Flower Power stamp set that features an assortment of daisies and flowers in all kinds of sizes and a few leaves and hearts.  It also features quite a few uplifting and encouraging sentiments so I was happy to be able to sneak two onto the card without it seeming odd or busy!

I had thought up the design for this card one night when I couldn't sleep, so once I had time to sit down and get busy, it came together quite easily. To begin, I cut a bunch of 1/4 inch strips of scrap cardstock in rainbow colors (omitting purple). I cut a panel of white cardstock measuring 3 3/4 inches by 5 and then glued the strips using liquid glue. I like using liquid glue on projects like this because it gives me a little "wiggle room" (literally) to get the strips placed neat and straight.

When it was all said and done, I only used two blue strips, so I decided to heat emboss the "hugs and happy thoughts" sentiment on the teal cardstock using white detail embossing powder.

I cut a slightly narrower panel and got to work building the flower pattern using the included images. Once I had what I wanted, I got to work coloring them with an assortment of alcohol markers. I don't do much coloring at all anymore so many of my Copic markers have dried up, so I had to use a few from my inexpensive set I got on Amazon. I added some black ink splatter for added interest and detail.

I attached the teal sentiment underneath the colored panel and then adhered it to the panel with the strips using foam squares. I mounted the entire thing onto a white card base using additional foam squares. I added some Tim Holtz Rock Candy glitter to the flower centers, leaves, and the smaller flowers. I added a trio of sparkling clear sequins to finish it off! Thanks for fluttering by!
