Dear Young Artists: when you feel as though it is your work that separates you from others, makes you mad vulnerable weird gleaming and strange - look at, read, and experience the work of all those other mad weirdo strangers who were brave enough to record pieces of themselves. And once again you will know, that feeling is a barometer for how close you are to the art. If it didn’t create that tumult of fear and necessity in you, it wouldn’t be art. #dearyoungartists #settleintothestrange #keepputtinghoneyonit (it’s been a while since I made a DYA post but recently a dear friend reminded me how I used to speak with that voice, and encouraged me to bring it back.
