Trump says DHS cybersecurity chief Chris Krebs has been terminated

President Donald Trump announced Tuesday on Twitter that he has “terminated” top U.S. cybersecurity official Christopher Krebs.In a pair of tweets, Trump said that Krebs gave a “highly inaccurate” statement about the security of the 2020 presidential election.
‘Krebs, who heads the Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, is the latest Trump administration official to depart on the heels of the election.
WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump announced Tuesday on Twitter that he has “terminated” top U.S. cybersecurity official Christopher Krebs.
In a pair of tweets, Trump said that Krebs gave a “highly inaccurate” statement about the security of the 2020 presidential election. Trump, who has not yet conceded to president-elect Joe Biden, alleged that there were “massive improprieties and fraud.”
Twitter labeled the president’s tweets with a warning citing the claim about election fraud is disputed.
Krebs, who heads the Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, has previously said that there is no evidence that the elections were compromised by foreign interference.

Earlier on Tuesday, Krebs tweeted from his government account, “On allegations that election systems were manipulated, 59 election security experts all agree, “in every case of which we are aware, these claims either have been unsubstantiated or are technically incoherent.”
Less than an hour after Trump tweeted about his firing, Krebs wrote from his personal Twitter account that he was “honored to serve.”
He is the latest Trump administration official to depart on the heels of the election.
Last week, Trump fired Defense Secretary Mark Esper via Twitter and replaced him with Christopher Miller, director of the National Counterterrorism Center.
On the heels of Esper’s removal, a Trump administration official told CNBC’s Eamon Javers that “I assume FBI and CIA are next,” referring to FBI Director Christopher Wray and CIA Director Gina Haspel.
The Department of Homeland Security did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The latest revelation comes as Trump has rejected the results of the U.S. presidential election. Other top administration officials, such as Vice President Mike Pence and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, have publicly insisted that the election is not over.

A Republican National Committee monitor in the Georgia recount efforts came forward claiming he witnessed a counted wrongly calling out votes. According to the monitor, the counter called votes that should have gone to President Donald Trump and claimed they were for former Vice President Joe Biden.
“So, second person was supposed to be checking it, right. So, three times in three minutes she called out Biden. The second auditor caught it and she said, ‘No. This is Trump.’ Now, that’s just while I’m standing there,” Hale Soucie, the monitor explained. “So, does the second checker catch it every time? But this lady, three times in three minutes, from 2:09 to 2:12, she got three wrong.”

Ever work in a job and you have to choose a fellow-employee for something and the 1st thing you try to do is see if these people are status quo or outside the box? I have. I have been in such a scenario and choose the out of the box person because they have fresh ideas, but there is a down side to that, as well. That person may not know the ‘WAYS OF THEIR POSITION” and it could harm the entire situation if they are not WISE enough to weed thru it all. THAT IS TRUMP. I think he is very wise, but I also think he delegates way too much and that is what lands him in hot water with these D.C. ENTRENCHED NWO PEOPLE who he never knew were those people. Now he knows and it looks like he is at fault and while maybe he is to some degree, HE NEED TO DO BETTER AT SELECTING HIS PEOPLE.
I wish Trump would hire NORMAL AMERICANS and not those with D.C. experience to give him a fresher perspective on RESEARCHING PEOPLE AROUND HIM. I think Trump is learning very quickly that people, in general, CANNOT BE TRUSTED even in the Presidency. I PRAY FOR TRUMP EVERY DAY. WE ALL SHOULD.

VERY DEEP. I think America is at THE END and she needs to be RESET, which means, a whole new govt, congress, removing every deep state person or person who has made govt a CAREER instead of a SERVICE TO THE PEOPLE.
Laws need to change to reflect that when you serve in GOVT, you are limited and can only serve conditionally – TERM LIMITS ON ALL ELECTED OFFICIALS, JUST LIKE THE PRESIDENT AND STATE GOVERNORS.

just some thoughts. to bring Federal elections under one law
Election was never secure and many loopholes in a Federal Election. This is not a State Election so all states should have one level of laws and come under Federal law.
From now on all electronic counting should be banned and any obstruction to observers must be made criminal.
All postal votes by military and necessary overseas staff of companies must be logged by election date.
All votes must be counted through the evening and night
Those that take overseas holidays may forfeit their vote if overseas
More postal Booths need to b e provided
All Ballot papers need a state watermark
All need to have proof of citizenship. All birth and death rolls need updating, list of all in aged care.

Unfortunately, Donald Trump has made some poor appointments who served to demonstrate just how compromised with liberals and left-wingers are the upper echelons of U.S. security personnel and the military. H R Mac Master as National Security Advisor was an example of someone who talked utter crap about Islam and we quickly knew was the wrong man for the job. And then the country got the utterly nondescript Chris Wray as FBI Director, a man who quickly appeared a James Comey clone and buddy, yet stayed on to lead a now next useless FBI that is about as clueless as Canada’s Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Wray was suspect from the outset, yet allowed to stay as a fumbling, stumbling FBI leader who one instinctively knew did not like Donald Trump. CIA Director, Gina Haspel, was another remarkably ordinary appointee. Was it supposed to look good to appoint a female? There are consequences to not very carefully choosing personnel and thus the chickens have come home to roost.

President Trump can only do so much and I think he delegates a lot of these things, so I personally understand what is happening. BEING PRESIDENT IS A MONUMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY. You have to delegate, but if I were TRUMP, I would find REGULAR PEOPLE like me and others who call themselves CONSTITUTIONAL CONSERVATIVES and let them VET THESE PEOPLE FOR TRUMP. But, he instead he relies on people who REFER him to others and THAT CAN BE EXTREMELY DANGEROUS if you don’t know about those ‘others’.
SINCE TRUMP IS NOT A POLITICIAN, we need to cut him some slack. He is learning the political game daily. BE PATIENT AND MERCIFUL WITH HIM.

True, Trump has made some really bad choices that hold key positions. I know they are bad and you know they are bad. Why doesn’t Trump? If I took The White House, I would fire everyone. I would not want any Obama sentiment remaining with people working for me. Comey, as you mentioned, is the perfect example of the damage that can be done by those left behind that support someone else’s agenda. I would hand pick my team, I would have expected that from Trump.

We need to hold Twitter to account. Election fraud is not in dispute. Calling the election for Biden is in dispute; but somehow is not being marked. Calling him president elect is not in dispute, he is not president elect until he is elected. Allowing knowingly false statement to continue while challenging the indisputable points out the need to open twitter to private damage suits for people it injures.
