Yes, I’m glad you brought that up, I wrote too simply. I did say that conservatives have LESS dogma, but you are right that we do have dogma, but it is actually BETTER dogma. For example, there is nothing in nature, biology, or logic that says that ‘all men are created equal’. Biology doesn’t really DO equality very well.

So equality is a kind of dogma, but it’s just a really good heuristic, a simple rule of thumb, that we need to build a country. So it’s not biologically true, but it is still an excellent basis on which to build a legal system. There is no rational way to establish number values to how much ‘inequality’ a person should have before the law.

And equality before the law means that all stereo thieves are equal before the law. We can’t just reprieve them because they are black, or not rich.

But in comparison, socialist dogma is a huge, ever-growing, useless pile of crap. It is not even remotely based on science, fact, or logic. Thieves can’t be reprieved because they ‘needed’ 10 stereos, or ‘needed’ the money from the resale of the stereos. Not when USA poverty is now less than 2%, and multiple sources of jobs, welfare, and other social support is available. Many people even get paid in prison.
