Archduke Rittenhouse?

Closing arguments are set to begin today in the self defense trial of Kyle Rittenhouse, the teenager who was set upon by an armed mob during the week of riots and bloodshed in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The jury has begun receiving instructions.

For those familiar with history, and I suspect that does not include those indoctrinated by a failed public school system, the assassination of the heir apparent Archduke Franz Ferdinand was the casus belli for the First World War. Of course, his murder was the trigger — much had preceded it …. but that for another post.

I wonder if the verdict in the self defense case of Kyle Rittenhouse is such a moment — America’s Archduke moment. We have already been warned repeatedly by American terror groups that there will be riots and bloodshed if Kyle Rittenhouse is acquitted for defending himself from an armed mob of bloodthirsty goons.

Even dogmatic lefties who watched the trial conceded to the obvious.

The lib corporate media was too busy defaming Rittenhouse as a “racist” “vigilante” “school shooter-like murderer” to bother with the actual facts of the case. They certainly had no interest in telling their audiences what really happened that night. It’s worth remembering why.

Mobs of Joe Biden voters were terrorizing the small city of Kenosha, Wisconsin during their summer of Black Lives Matter riots in 2020. Rittenhouse wanted to help protect those whom the state had decided to abandon in order to let the Marxists vent their rage. For the Left, that was Kyle’s real crime: he stood in their way.

For the Democrat apparatus, BLM rioters had to be allowed to terrorize Kenosha- among dozens of other cities- and nobody could be allowed to interfere. Any acts of citizen rebellion against the Leftist woke mobs would threaten their ability to throw destructive tantrums that tear apart the communities and intimidate the nation in an election year.

That was Rittenhouse’s real sin. He wasn’t afraid of the mob. A lone 17-year-old kid had enough of the thuggery and destruction. The Biden-voting lunatics who rampaged through the streets were outraged at his very presence, and they thought they could get away with assaulting or even killing him without consequence. They were wrong.

If the jury and the American judicial system has indeed submitted to the mob, will America? The stolen election, illegal mandates, segregation, reverse racism, defund the police, cities aflame, hyper inflation, crime at all time highs…. is Rittenhouse the trigger? Will decent, freedom loving Americans stand by while a young, decent, honest boy is lynched by a corrupt judicial system? Will Americans cede their right to self defense? Will they just as casually cede their Second Amendment rights to a fraudulent administration, a Soros-bought prosecution and a blood-thirsty media?

Me thinks not.

The rioting can go either way. And I for one hope America breaks the shackles of Democrat totalitarianism – no matter what it takes.
