We are obviously not certain that Monday will be the day that Parler returns. However, when Parler is finally live again, President Trump must support the platform wholeheartedly. It is critical for President Trump to bring his tens of millions of social media followers to Parler with him, so that the communication on Parler is engaging, interesting, and robust. And not just Parler. Team Trump must lead the effort to grow and legitimize other alternative social media platforms, such as Gab, Bitchute, and Rumble, in the months and years ahead. We have been told by the Left to start our own social media sites. We have done that. It is up to us to make sure that these sites are viable.
Dan Bongino: ‘Monday looks good’ for Parler to be back online

Story continues below advertisementParler, the social media platform that was forced offline by Amazon following the deadly Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol, could be up and running again early next week, co-owner Dan Bongino told “Hannity” Thursday.
“We’re shooting for Monday,” said Bongino, who is also a Fox News contributor. “Monday looks good. Fingers crossed.”
Bongino joined host Sean Hannity one day after Fox News obtained a memo to employees from ex-CEO John Matze explaining why he was terminated by the company’s board of directors last week.
Matze alleged that he had been met with “constant resistance” to his original vision for Parler following Amazon Web Services’ decision to shut the platform down for failure to moderate “egregious content” related to the Capitol riot.
“For example, I advocated for more product stability and what I believe is a more effective approach to content moderation,” Matze wrote.
Bongino disputed Matze’s claims in a Facebook video published earlier Wednesday.
“I have no personal gripe against John, the CEO, at all, I want to be crystal clear,” he said, “but John decided to make this public, not us. We were handling it like gentlemen.
“We were the ones, in fact, fighting to get Parler back up. There was some really bad decisions made from people on the inside, and listen, this isn’t us airing dirty laundry. This is protecting a company that is absolutely committed to free speech, that I put the last year of my life into. Do you actually believe that someone else was on the side of free speech?”
“”The relationship with Parler and the CEO did not work out because the CEO’s vision was not ours,” Bongino added later in the video. “Everybody clear on that? Our vision was crystal clear. We needed to get up and fight back, some terrible decisions were made in the past, that led us to getting put down by Amazon and others.”
A Parler insider told Fox News Thursday the delay was caused by new branding and changes occurring within the company for the sake of stability.
Parler was widely embraced by Trump supporters and saw a spike in users following Twitter’s permanent suspension of the now-former president last month.

I have a granddaughter, nephew and friends with gay kids, along with my sister’s ex-husband. I don’t agree with their lifestyle choice and tell them that. Doesn’t make me a homophobe! I don’t associate with murderers, drug addicts or bank robbers either. What phobia does that portray? For the past 12 plus years I’ve been hearing the racist, xenophobic, homophobic and a ton of other titles that the libturds label you if you don’t accept their perverted practices. Nobody is afraid because they don’t agree with your ideas. But then again there are millions of bigots that are Trumpophobic due to their TDS.

I joined Parler and of my first five posts, THREE WERE REJECTED, proving Parler uses algorithms to CENSOR SPEECH! So I immediately closed my account and joined GAB.
Dan Bongino is trying to salvage his investment. When the Parler board fired the CEO and replaced him with a bimbo who advocates CENSORING SPEECH, I joined GAB and finally found a site that does NOT censor speech.
Do not be fooled by the rhetoric. IF Parler returns it will CONTINUE to censor speech just like Twitter and Fakebook.
Don’t take my word for it, watch and see.

I agree with some other commenters here. I placed an informative comment on Parler and it was removed. I could not find it anywhere. YES, PARLER does discriminate BUT I am not sure what criteria it uses to do so.
SO BEWARE AND WATCH WHEN YOU POST ON PARLER. Me, I use SafeChat.com and GAB.com. I left Parler when they removed my post(s) that was FOR TRUMP.

Parler will not be a free speech site if it comes back. Their board fired their founder/CEO for politics. I’ll stick with Gab.
As for Trump, if he wants to make a real difference against cancel culture, I suggest he start a credit card in direct competition with Visa and Mastercard, so that they and PayPal can no longer shut orgs like Gab and the NRA out of the banking system. He could call it the Trump Card.

The only person I trust at this point to run a social media platform is DJT. Meanwhile, I recommend Patrick Byrne’s mind.com. They do not censor and theyhave avery stable platform and combine th efeatures of Twitter, Facebook, and Medium. They pay you for your input whether likes or posts. Finally, they do not sell your personal data.

Parlor should just worry about getting on independent servers away from google, and concentrate on making their site more functional. I registered, went on it twice. As I remember (I am not familiar with navigating different SM sites), I just found it a pain in the butt. I will try Gab, and some others to see if it is just me.

No sympathy here. TGP was my home on the internet until I made a typo in a link. I was instantly banned, without warning, and also could not contact their support to straighten it out. I was a forum moderator for several years on the world’s largest knitting site and you just don’t treat people that way. So they can suck it up and move on like I had to.

Andrew Torba reserved an account for Trump on GAB. All of his old tweets are archived there. There were no new posts by Trump on that account until a 2/4/21 letter to Congressman Raskin concerning the upcoming impeachment. A prior Trump advisor, Jason Miller, on Twitter said GAB was a “fake” account but didn’t say the letter was fake. GAB responded on Twitter to Miller stating that advisors to Trump such as Miller and Jared Kushner were “blocking” Trump from posting on GAB because there are “white supremacists” on GAB. (How does anyone block Trump on social media unless they ban his account like the Twitter Nazis did?) I’m on GAB and I used to get responses from Hitler-loving, Socialist-Nazi-loving white supremacists and just blocked them myself. I got worse on Twitter from the Marxist-Socialist-loving, America-hating, Trump-hating Commies on Twitter and just block them too…they are just as evil as the handful of “white supremacists” who have no real power unlike the Democrat Commies.
Perhaps Trump may want to hold out for Parler. I’m on Parler too. Neither Parler nor GAB are as easy to use as Twitter.

I don’t trust Bongino one damn bit. Remember who he worked for. Remember that he’s one of Hannity’s favorites, just like the despicable Jerry Rivers (Geraldo Rivera). As for Parler itself, it was very poorly implemented. When I complained to tech support, I receive a form email telling me they were aware of the problem. Of course, nothing came of it. Gab isn’t perfect, but I’ll stick with it for now.

Any over/under on how long before Parler disappears again?
I was on twitter, got banned in two successive profiles and went to Parler, thinking it was safe.
When Parler disappeared I went to GAB.
The Parler situation was completely different than me banned on twitter.
In the end the result was just the same, no access to the community.
I’d be very reluctant to return to Parler.

I personally enjoyed Parler. Was never on Facebook or Twitter. Never pressured to send money. Don’t most sites ask for financial support in some way ? Found I could easily comment on any subject. Was sorry to see them shut down by the
Big Tech mafia.
That being said I am now concerned about the direction Parler seems to be going especially after firing the previous CEO. Concerned they will be more interested in gathering info on patriots. Would like to know how the “vision” was different from the CEO and the rest.
Learning to use GAB and go their frequently so I’ll probably stick with them with a wait and see attitude re Parler. I agree with the comments about Bongino and his investment.
