Move comes over objection of Democrats to Republicans’ quickly filling Supreme Court opening
Amy Coney Barrett’s Nomination Heads for a Full Senate Vote

Story continues below advertisementWASHINGTON—The Senate Judiciary Committee advanced Amy Coney Barrett’s nomination to the Supreme Court as Republicans unanimously voted to recommend that the full Senate approve her, paving the way for her confirmation next week.
The tally was 12-0. All 10 Democrats on the panel declined to appear at the proceedings to protest the Republican plan to fill the position just ahead of a presidential election.
The committee action clears the way for a full Senate vote that is expected on Monday. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R., Ky.) is expected to take the rare step of keeping the chamber in session over the weekend in order to limit the opportunities for Democrats to delay the vote.
If confirmed as expected, Judge Barrett would give the Supreme Court a solid conservative majority that could affect the role of government, the rights of individuals, and the interpretation of such long-debated constitutional terms as equal protection, due process of law, and cruel and unusual punishment.
Democrats fear that she could provide a crucial vote in favor of restricting abortion rights or undercutting the Affordable Care Act.
Instead of attending the vote Thursday, Democrats displayed cardboard photos of Americans with health conditions, people they said could be affected if the ACA is rolled back. Judge Barrett is likely to be on the court in time to hear Nov. 10 oral arguments in a case challenging a central pillar of the ACA.

This conservative majority court will likely be a Pyrrhic victory. Dems stand a good chance of sweeping the elections, taking both the White House and the Senate, and subsequently packing the court (long a Democrat dream when they don’t like the current SCOTUS).
Biden has endorsed Pelosi’s “Protecting the Right to Organize Act”, which would overturn all state right-to-work laws, which protect individuals from having to join a union or pay dues. Over half of all states are now right to work states, passed through their democratic processes, but Joe has a better idea- federal control over society. No wonder the little sleazebag is a big fan of China!
By the say, unions have a right to organize throughout the USA today. However, workers can opt out of a union today, something Joe, at peril of losing your job, will not let you do.

I’m a pessimist, but you seem like one who thinks everyone in this country is just going to roll over and accept socialism or worse should that happen. I guess I need to wake you up a little. There will be a Civil war or worse should the demoscum cheat, It is going to be ugly, and lots of people will die by the time it is over, it is very likely that blue states will secede if the demoscum aren’t wiped out. You will see the demoscum starting to lose it this week. Beetlejuice Lightfoot is already shutting down businesses in Chicongo. Antifa and BLM will be rioting by the end of the week(I actually thought it would start by Monday.) Blue states will be shutting down and closing themselves off by the end of next weekend. The demoscum already have a plan in place to start rioting and more starting election night should it look like the President is going to win. I usually get my medicine through the mail, and I would run out by the end of the year. I need it to survive. I am spending money out of pocket to have enough to get me to April. People will start stocking up on certain things again next week, if not sooner. Best of luck.
