My name is Alshima Omama A.K Alzubi, I’m 24 years old, a Jordanian, I’m a nonbinary lesbian and an ex-Muslim who escaped Jordan after family abuse, sexual abuse by two of my brothers, a rapist husband — family forced me to get married to him, I came from family [who] support ISIS. I run away a year and a half ago to live with my girlfriend in the USA, but family forced to get back by threatening of killing my ex girlfriend and her children,.
Story continues below advertisementI was trying to seek asylum in LGBTQ shelter in Los angels, in Jordan they didn’t protect me from my family, after I was getting raped every day by my husband I decided to run back away to the USA so I booked a trip through Qatar at the airport US officer told me my visa is canceled and they’ll send me back to Jordan, I begged them to help me or at least let me go to Turkey after I told them my story Qatar officers refused help, one of Qatar airways helped me, so I end up in Turkey, I had proof over my words, and today 13-8-2020 received a message from my family they know my location, I received a message that my family will kill me,then I tried to get a new passport because mine about to die in 16-Jan-2021, the Jordanian embassy they told me I need paper I would never be able to get like a husband passport mother and father’s passport, I’m not safe I need help as soon as possible. Looking forward for your response.
And Jordan is held up as a moderate Muslim country.
The United States needs to intervene.

The title is misleading, in the woman’s own words she states she is an “ex-Muslim”. And kudos to her for having the courage to leave the muslum death cult behind her and join humanity. It’s interesting that the article only addresses conversion to Christianity. Since Jews aren’t allowed to be citizens of Jordan by law, it would be interesting to see what would happen if a muslum converted to Judaism (which would be extremely difficult considering there are no synagogues in Jordan and never will be).

Sewer: Oh of course I oppose the death penalty for gays! I posted the “Punishable by Death” pic to show how terrible it is in Iran and elsewhere, that a simple kiss should draw the death penalty. Of course some people in the USA disapprove of same-sex relationships, but I don’t disapprove or approve of them. I just hope they can find happiness. Sewer: Well if you get banned again, let me know. There are ways to fix it. One quick method is to try a different browser. If you are banned, you can usually still leave replies to people on their Disqus home page. Geller Report doesn’t ban anyone, it’s the dumb Disqus algorithms that do it. Many of us get banned from time to time.

Hi Sandra, It is little known among the church but, We are not here to judge the world New Testament 1Corinthians 5:12-13. More on Homos New Testament Romans 1:26-27. See it is not just an abomination in the Old Testament.

The New Testament has common ground from the Old Testament iwith clarification and acceptance of Christ as the Messiah. Jews differ on the Christ being the Messiah.

If you’re having problems, understanding the “Word”, try utilizing a Strong’s Concordance.
Last I checked, the Epistles of Paul were found in the New Testament of the Holy Bible.

I’m quite familiar with Revelations.

Indeed, Sandra, it should not matter if one is Gay or not or what politics tickles one’s fancy. As a conservative one is readily deemed a homophobic, which is not necessarily the reality. Conservatives are painted as the base of intolerance whereas the Liberals tout diversity, which in itself is a blatant lie. Much of the Gay community has swallowed the perfidy dispensed by the beyond prejudicial Left, the Democrats and others.
I do not care about one’s lifestyle, race or creed, as long as they maintain the Judeo-Christian principles on which Western Civilization was founded. I have colleagues, friends who are Jewish, Christian and indeed, Gay. Tolerance, folks, is not a one-way street as it is in faux-Liberalism and Islamism. We can choose to be prejudicial, akin to the Democrats and its contagion legions, or enlightened. One of the definitions of conservatism is orthodoxy, even Fascism which is a Liberal viewpoint. “I tried to toss the Bible and all of its teachings in the trash — I really tried,” she says. “But I kept reading it, reading it not just for pleasure, but reading it because I was engaged in a research program trying to refute the religious right from a lesbian feminist perspective. . . . After my second or third, maybe fourth, pass through the entire Bible something started to happen. The Bible got to be bigger inside me than I. And it absolutely overflowed into my world. I really fought against it. And then one Sunday morning, no different from any other Sunday morning, I rose from the bed of my lesbian lover, and an hour later I sat in a church pew. I went there very conspicuous of the fact that I didn’t fit in. But I really had to confront this God.”
And she did.
In embracing the biblical Jesus, she found herself “a single ex-lesbian with a now defunct PhD,” the words she uses in her book The Secret Thoughts of an Unlikely Convert: An English Professor’s Journey Into Christian Faith (26).
Her conversion landed her into “a complicated and comprehensive chaos” (27). “This was my conversion in a nutshell: I lost everything but the dog” (63).
But in return she found life in Christ.
In this 23-minute podcast, Butterfield shares more details about her unlikely conversion, and the personal challenges she faced in walking into a church building. She speaks to how relevant the Bible is to the needs, questions, and challenges that face a person in the gay and lesbian community.

We, as Christians, simply cannot refuse to help someone just because we perceive them to be sinners. After all, Christ came to, and still does, save sinners. Also attacking a woman’s appearance is cheap. It is the act of a weak person.
I have deep sympathy for this woman, and for any woman who suffers, for whatever reason, at the hands of a sick regime. “There, but for the Grace of God, go I.”
In Bible Study last night we looked at John 7 & 8, included was the woman caught in adultery. If Jesus, who knew everything, didn’t judge that woman, then by what authority do I judge this one? And, Jesus said, we are to love our enemies and to pray for them. We’re not supposed to revile them and attack them. Where is Christ in that?
She needs help. She is begging for help. Who is great enough to help her?

There are books that could be sent to her who turned their lives around but she really needs someone in her life to help her get through it. She needs someone willing to do allot of listening and gently guiding her. She is getting the opposite and encouraged to stay in the lifestyle. That is the WORST thing you could do for her and people feel RIGHTEOUS doing that! Head smack time.

My argument for helping her will be no more and no less than she is a human being whose life is in jeopardy and needs help.

We don’t know what Christ wrote in the dirt/sand. It is speculated that it was names of the older men also guilty of the SAME crime and they were shamed to leave. Regardless, Christ has the advantage of seeing into her heart and we don’t. You can’t equate this with a practicing homosexuals being okay!
She does need help but not help to continue with this lifestyle choice. The Judeo Christian God is quite clear on where He stands with homosexuals.

It is also speculated that in the tradition of Hebraic teachings of the time, Christ might have been writing or drawing something that referred to some other text that was well known at the time. I’ve never heard of the one you mentioned, but it’s entirely possible.
You may very well be perfectly right in your interpretation of the Holy Text, and hatred may be the way God wants us to go, though I see no evidence of that anywhere in the Bible, except where it says that God hates pride. But, I prefer to err on the side of compassion, and not to judge people to the point of not helping or caring about them unless or until they have bowed to my beliefs, etc.
