President Trump making 4th visit in as many weeks to North Carolina

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (AP) – President Donald Trump plans to make his fourth visit in as many weeks to the battleground state of North Carolina to address a rally in Fayetteville.
Story continues below advertisementTrump is set to address a crowd Saturday evening at the Fayetteville Regional Airport.
He’s made other recent visits to Winston-Salem and Wilmington, as well as to Charlotte, where last month he addressed the Republican delegates who awarded him the GOP nomination.
Trump’s latest visit comes following Friday’s death of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
The president has urged the Senate to consider “without delay” his upcoming nomination to fill the new court vacancy.

Agreed. I remember an occasion back during the 2016 campaign season when he had five stops on his schedule in two or three different states, using his own plane.
He was on his third stop before Hillary’s bladder even kicked in.

It was a terribly stressful day for him. Fake rage, garbled speech and lies on the fly took its toll. Biden probably doesn’t even remember it. With how DEMS are running their campaign, they really don’t have to worry about how outrageous Biden is with distortions and outright lies. The media backs him up. Fresh air and answering a few softball questions totally drained him. I guess he will be taking it easy for the next few days while Trump is all over the place with people shouting, “we love you” and huge crowds. If Biden wasn’t such a corrupt SOB his entire life in politics, I would feel sorry for him but I don’t because of that. Biden is a total embarrassment.

“Today, the United States welcomes the return of virtually all previously terminated UN sanctions on the Islamic Republic of Iran, the world’s leading state sponsor of terror and anti-Semitism.Sanctions are being re-imposed on Iran pursuant to the snapback process under UN Security Council resolution (UNSCR) 2231. On August 20, the United States notified the President of the Security Council of Iran’s significant non-performance of its JCPOA commitments. This notification triggered the 30-day process leading to the snapback of previously terminated UN sanctions, which became effective at 8pm Eastern Daylight Time on September 19. This means that starting today, all of the provisions of UNSCRs 1696, 1737, 1747, 1803, 1835, and 1929 that were terminated by UNSCR 2231 are back in effect. Furthermore, the measures contained in paragraphs 7, 8, and 16 to 20 of UNSCR 2231 are now terminated.”

Susan Collins has decided! She is not for replacing RBG before the election. Any word on Mittens or Lisa Murkowski? The nuclear option is in place so if Lindsey can move this along in his committee, she could get in quickly.
I am guessing but I suspect Trump may put Amy Barrett forward as a Surpreme Justice. I don’t know if this is propaganda or not, but I have read she is into weird communal living. Have you read anything about that?
Barrett’s appearance reminds me of Michele Bachmann. Bachmann is a good role model for women. Intelligent, conservative and very pretty. She is doing work over at the U.N..

Two others are being talked about. If what I read about Amy Barrett is just lefty negative propaganda then I would prefer Barrett. She has worked with Scalia. We liked Scalia and hopefully he would have had an impact on her worldview.

Lagoa is 52, a Cuban-American living in Florida born and raised there.
As a lawyer, she served as a United States Circuit Judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Prior to becoming a federal judge, she was the first Cuban or Hispanic female to be appointed as a Justice on the Supreme Court of Florida. If she is first generation from Cuba, then she is probably conservative.
Amul Thapar
Thapar, 51, is also known to perform well in TV interviews and has navigated the Senate confirmation process three times before — first as a U.S. attorney in Kentucky, then as a district judge, and then as an appeals judge on the Sixth Circuit. He is the son of India immigrants.

Hi Felix, yes, Amy Coney Barrett is a possible pick, but she just squeaked by in her confirmations by the Senate for her current job, so that might be a problem in this contentious situation.
Barbara Lagoa, 52, a Cuban American, might be better:
Lagoa spent more than a decade as a judge on an intermediate appeals court in Florida. Then she went to Florida’s Supreme Court, where she spent less than a year. Then she was nominated by Trump to the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals in September of 2019. She got a lot of bipartisan support in the Senate, and she was confirmed by an 80-15 vote in November of 2019.

The rallies are becoming more like 2016 style. I hope Trump keeps unloading on Biden and company. Biden is a joke. His wife should be ashamed of herself letting her husband look like such a fool. Apparently she is no better than he is – power and money hungry.
