Steve Bannon Arrest: “Clearly a Political Hit Job”

47

“The fact that Trump has made it clear that Bannon’s Wall project is not in play in the actual building of the Wall will be under-reported and ignored outright by an establishment media that is bent on defaming and destroying Trump. […] The arrest of Bannon gives them a useful tool that they can and will use to hit Trump on [the issue of preventing illegal migration]”, Pamela Geller says.

Broken down, ailing New York, where killers, rapists, looters run free, has made it their mission to persecute Trump and his supporters.

The timing of this, right before the convention, is no accident.

Case Against Bannon is ‘Desperate’ Attack Against Trump Ahead of Election, Political Experts Believe

By: Sputnik News, August 22, 2020:

The arrest of the former Trump strategist Steve Bannon and three of his colleagues from the project that mimics President Trump’s pledge of building a border wall came out of the blue less than three months ahead of the November vote that will determine whether POTUS will be re-elected for a second term.

The sudden emergence of accusations against former POTUS aide and reportedly one of the main architects of the Mexico border-wall project, Steve Bannon, was not an accident, but a calculated political move, several experts interviewed by Sputnik opined. He and three other individuals were accused of wire fraud and improper spending of funds raised as a part of the “We Build the Wall” project.

It is “clearly a political hit job”, which was timed to harm President Donald Trump and hurt his chances of re-election, Pamela Geller, a political activist, commentator and editor-in-chief of the Geller Report believes. She highlights the fact that the four men were a part of the group that was working on a project that mimicked Trump’s border wall and hence discrediting the “We Build the Wall” initiative’s members could potentially harm the president as well.

“The fact that Trump has made it clear that Bannon’s Wall project is not in play in the actual building of the Wall will be under-reported and ignored outright by an establishment media that is bent on defaming and destroying Trump. […] The arrest of Bannon gives them a useful tool that they can and will use to hit Trump on [the issue of preventing illegal migration]”, Geller says.

The attack against Bannon is just another “desperate” attempt by Democrats to find a way to attack POTUS ahead the election, William Stroock, author and political analyst, thinks. But at the same time, their efforts are unlikely to bear fruit, as public attention is currently pre-occupied with other matters, such as the coronavirus pandemic, civil unrest and a stagnating economy, the analyst adds. In addition, US citizens have simply developed so-called “scandal fatigue” and barely react to news like the one about Bannon’s arrest, Stroock sums up.

Could There Be More to It?

The assumption that the criminal case against Bannon will be used by Democrats to get back at Trump has crossed the mind of another political analyst, former US Army officer Scott Bennett, who, however, admits that there could be other explanations to the potentially high-profile prosecution. Bennett notes that should Democrats seek to undermine the idea of the Mexico wall through the case against the “We Build the Wall” initiative, they would achieve almost nothing, as many Americans support Trump’s plans.

The analyst calls prosecutions like the one opened against Bannon a “standard operating procedure” for the Department of Justice in “politically-motivated cases” and believes that Bannon and his associates will be subjected to a process of “political extortion”. They will be pressured to accuse the rest of the group of committing crimes they have never taken part in, in exchange for freedom or other preferences – something that could have been already used against other Trump’s aides, Bennett explains.

“It was in fact done against other members of the Trump support team including Rodger Stone, George Papadopoulos, Carter Page, Paul Manafort and General Michael Flynn”, the analyst says, adding that he doesn’t believe any of the four arrested men will fall for the DoJ’s alleged offer.

There are of course two other possibilities, Bennett admits. One of them is that Bannon and his colleagues indeed deliberately engaged in fraud by playing on people’s fears. But he, personally, thinks there was no foul play and suggests that the transactions the DoJ believes to be illegal personal expenses were actually typical costs of running an operation – such as paying for the phones or electricity.

The accusations presented on 20 August hardly even make a case against Bannon, whom the DoJ suspects of wiring $1 million of the total 25 to his non-profit and allegedly spending them improperly, Pamela Geller points out. Bannon is “innocent until proven guilty”, she concludes, essentially citing the last portion of the DoJ official release in regards to the criminal case.

And there is no reason right now to believe that the prosecutors are innocent of wrongdoing. Their recent history of malfeasance makes them ‘persons of interest’.

Attacking ‘We Build the Wall’ … (WBW)

… is a political hit job. And it’s likely the charges are all based on lies.

Where’s the probable cause for their claims?

Think about it – Who was defrauded? Americans who are anti-crime and anti-socialism?

Anyone paying attention knows WBW has 4 projects in the works, and has been forced to spend a lot of cash fighting Lietard pro-crime, pro-violence, pro-cartel lawsuits seeking to stop the fencing projects with excuses and technicalities.

Just ask what was the probable cause, and who decided they had a case …

… yet Biden, Clinton, and Obamessiah are still walking around free.

That said, the cast of characters should have been HYPER vigilante to protect themselves – AND US – from malicious prosecution, persecution, and politically motivated witch hunts.

WBW was conceived in the middle of a witch hunt against Trump …

… Kolfage and Bannon had to know they would be targeted for a witch hunt by the anti-American, pro-violence, pro-crime operatives working for the Left.

Democrats know they don’t have a case and they don’t care that nothing will come of it. The intent is to make headlines for support of Biden’s campaign. Everything the Democrats charged since before Trump even won was based on lies but their only objective was always to stop Trump. Arrests carry some weight to their accusations. They don’t need to prove anything as long as their complicit Fake News MSM keeps it in the headlines till election day. It will fail just as everything they do fails in the end.

I remember during the last election, President Trump was so popular that I think he said something like..”I could shoot someone in the middle of a NY street…and get away with it.” Or maybe someone else said that about him.

At this point….I’d still vote for him over any other candidate on the planet.

What he said was, “I could shoot someone on 5th Avenue and nobody would care.”

It was a terrible thing for him to say, but I plan to vote for him because the alternative is grim.

It bothered me that he said that, because it seemed he was speaking before THINKING. And while I definitely admire his strength, in the constant line of fire, I was pretty put off with that statement. And MOST “braggadocios” aren’t running for the most powerful office in the country.

True, I think you’re absolutely right. Adverse headlines and salacious scandal mongering is all they have. Unless the principals have been siphoning off more than 10%, there’s literally no case.

I donate to a number of small religious charities, and all of them admit their overhead costs run from 10-30%. Anything less is better than average.

One other point I would add is that these charges are sending a chill through the conservative movement – just as charging Roger Stone and Alex Jones warned off conservative bloggers, and charging Flynn warned off conservative leaders.

I’m not in any league – I’m just an old fat fart with some fish tales – but if I were in line to be considered in any public role, my own background is a horror show.

Anyone with any sense knows the Deep State will do anything to anyone to prevent them from coming to power – and holding the Deep State to the same standards as the rest of us.

We all know that if the Rule of Law still existed, Biden, Obama, and Hitlary would all be wearing orange – most likely for the rest of their lives. And their minions would too.

Agreed. Bannon isn’t just some gump who fell off the cantalope truck and walked into the WH looking for entertainment.

He is a graduate of the USNA, which is a very tough school to even be selected to attend, among other qualifications.

He has an honorable discharge from the US Navy, unlike Hunter Biden.

AND……Bannon worked in the most vicious industry on the planet…HOLLYWOOD.

Excellent points …

… which means that if they meant to commit a fraud, they would have covered their tracks, and we still would not know about it.

All the SDNY has – giving their accusations the most credibility I can muster – is that some regulations were violated in the course of getting Brian paid. This could be true as the rules involved are numerous, and probably contradictory. Nonetheless, we all know that no one named Biden, Obama, or Clinton would be charged, and even ordinary criminals deliberately engaged in fraud would face no significant charges.

Having been involved in a number of cases – and been the subject of numerous investigations myself –

– I find the naivety of folks to be incredible.

Honestly, when I was asked to run for office, I declined – knowing full well that my own past would look impossibly shady and unbelievable – and knowing my first divorce records would be sufficient to condemn me as a Satan-worshipping Space Alien.

Frankly, if Satan himself appeared in a red suit with a pitchfork and accused anyone of being a witch, I think half of us – “good” Christian conservatives ! – would trample each other in a stampede to be the first to light up the bonfire.

When Satan’s minions – who cannot find anything wrong with Obama’s abuse of FISA warrants, Hillary’s emails, or Biden’s kickbacks – accuse anyone, we should assume “innocent until proven guilty,” but apparently we’ve all forgotten that tidbit.

Yeah, that was maybe my first lesson in politics, when I was a kid. When I asked my Dad why he didn’t run for office, he said the local newspaper publisher had threatened to destroy him if he did.

Dan Knight

You’re Dad was a great man. It speaks well for him. Newspapermen have been worthless shills for the criminal elite; so I’m certain that’s an endorsement of your father’s integrity.

All too many ‘normal’ people today – much as I love them – do not understand that when the Enemedia calls other normal people a Natzee – that means they’re anti-Natzee, and they’re a threat to the Left’s pro-violence agenda.

If it wasn’t so, we would have an army of patriots leading the nation rather than a mere handful of brave souls who come out and dare say – at great personal risk – that the sky is blue.

If we had a functional justice system, the case would go nowhere. That does not exist in New York. What is certain is they will be heavily burdened with legal costs which may well be the aim of the state. It seems the organization was chartered in New York so they have jurisdiction. They should have avoided corrupt states like Zimbabwe and New York.

This is coming from the DoJ in New York City. So many DAs and ADAs and members of the DoJ going after Trump and his associates from that one place. Makes you think of a possible conspiracy to take down the President. Naw, couldn’t be.

Either way, this stinks as much as downtown NYC, which has minimum garbage pickup and the smell of the rioters.

I wonder, will they ever charge BLM with sedition?

Interesting so the DOJ is suborning perjury and using extortion to do so. Ugly stuff.

This was the very 1st thought that came to mind when I heard of this. The 2nd thought was of all their false set up type prosecutions mentioned by the author of people like Gen Flynn, Stone, and the rest.

My 3rd thought was of adam schitt making threats by saying something to the effect of government law enforcement agencies had a million ways to get to someone.

Yes, I totally believe this is a set up – political hit job. The fact of where this is happening adds fuel to my skepticism of the government narritive.

Minor personal expenses? No big deal? ……BS! Stop whitewashing this Pamela. You are better than that!

In truth, KOLFAGE, BANNON, BADOLATO, and SHEA received hundreds of thousands of dollars in donor funds from We Build the Wall, which they each used in a manner inconsistent with the organization’s public representations. In particular, KOLFAGE covertly took for his personal use more than $350,000 in funds that donors had given to We Build the Wall, while BANNON, through a non-profit organization under his control (“Non-Profit-1”), received over $1 million from We Build the Wall, at least some of which BANNON used to cover hundreds of thousands of dollars in BANNON’s personal expenses. To conceal the payments to KOLFAGE from We Build the Wall, KOLFAGE, BANNON, BADOLATO, and SHEA devised a scheme to route those payments from We Build the Wall to KOLFAGE indirectly through Non-Profit-1 and a shell company under SHEA’s control, among other avenues. They did so by using fake invoices and sham “vendor” arrangements, among other ways, to ensure, as KOLFAGE noted in a text message to BADOLATO, that his pay arrangement remained “confidential” and kept on a “need to know” basis.

Conservatives have the White House, yet during this administration conservatives are continuously getting lined up for prosecution…….and yet no sign of a single noteworthy liberal ever facing the same music.

I know nothing, I have no contacts, I have no prestige or power…………but even I know this is not correct. Smells corrupt….so it probably is.

Why can’t [or won’t??] those conservatives with all the needed power, prestige, contacts, first-hand knowledge, and Ivy League law degrees step in….anywhere and at anytime?? Why do they get away with treating us like the-crazy-step-child nobody wants or listens to.

Trump has had his life threatened. About 2 weeks ago, he said on TV, “You might not be seeing me for a little while because some very rich people are after me.” That was when he went to his NJ golf club for a few days.
