Ex-FBI lawyer to plead guilty in first criminal case arising from Durham review of Russia probe

Former FBI lawyer Kevin Clinesmith will plead guilty to making a false statement in U.S. Attorney John Durham’s review of the Russia investigation.

Former FBI lawyer Kevin Clinesmith will plead guilty to making a false statement in the first criminal case arising from U.S. Attorney John Durham’s review of the investigation into links between Russia and the 2016 Trump campaign, two sources close to the matter tell Fox News.

Clinesmith was referred for potential prosecution by the Justice Department’s inspector general’s office, which conducted its own review of the Russia investigation. Specifically, the inspector general accused Clinesmith, though not by name, of altering an email about former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page to say that he was “not a source” for another government agency. Page has said he was a source for the CIA. The DOJ relied on that assertion as it submitted a third and final renewal application in 2017 to eavesdrop on Page under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act.

BARR TEASES ‘DEVELOPMENTS’ IN DURHAM PROBE, SAYS INVESTIGATION WON’T BE ‘DICTATED’ BY ELECTION

Clinesmith is being charged in federal court in Washington and is expected to plead guilty to one count of making a false statement, his attorney Justin Shur told The Associated Press.

Durham was appointed by Attorney General Bill Barr last year to investigate the origins of the FBI’s original Russia probe, shortly after former Special Counsel Robert Mueller completed his years-long investigation into whether his campaign colluded with the Russians to influence the 2016 presidential election.

Durham’s timeline was focused on July 2016, when the FBI’s original Russia probe began, through the appointment of Mueller in May 2017.
September surprise? Gregg Jarrett predicts when Durham report will drop, indictmentsVideo

Mueller’s investigation yielded no evidence of criminal conspiracy or coordination between the Trump campaign and Russian officials during the 2016 election, though the question of whether Trump obstructed justice was left open in the final report.

TRUMP LAYS DOWN GAUNTLET FOR BARR IN DURHAM PROBE: EITHER ‘GREATEST ATTORNEY GENERAL’ OR ‘AVERAGE GUY’

The development Friday comes amid much speculation, and even a tip-off by Barr, who said on Fox News’ “Hannity” that there would be a “development” in the investigation, teasing that it wouldn’t be “earth-shattering,” but would be “an indication that things are moving along at the proper pace as dictated by the facts in this investigation.”

“There are two different things going on,” Barr said. “I said the American people need to know what actually happened, we need to get the story of what happened in 2016 and ’17 out. That will be done.”

Barr also said that “if people crossed the line, if people involved in that activity violated criminal law, they will be charged.”

Barr touted Durham as an “independent” and “highly experienced” man, and said his investigation is “pursuing apace,” despite delays he blamed in part on the coronavirus pandemic.

Hi, little Timmi. What is a “brain bo”? Your exceedingly poor level of education is, once again, glaringly obvious.

Clinesmith will get a wrist slap. He has already planned to plead guilty. He should get 20 years.

And be prevented from any involvement in future political activity or any security related activity and disbarred.

At least 10 years for the lot of them. They are guilty of misprision of felony. They knew Clinesmith lied, and they did nothing.

Agreed. It may seem like minor league now but in reality it’s called inserting the thin end of the wedge first.

Nah, Barr’s not going by the election schedule…. Looks like Barr has his own version of
HOPE and NO CHANGE, for his personal election schedule theme.

Delays because of the virus, how convenient. This is a low hanging fruit prosecution. Why aren’t the architects of the treasonous campaign against our sitting president being prosecuted? I have a feeling they will never answer for their crimes and will be left in place guaranteeing our government agencies remain corrupt.

Yeah right. It’s the fault of the VIRUS!

The rest of us carry on with lives but not delicate Barr. Durham is like Biden, hiding in the basement. I guess fragile Barr doesn’t consider serious investigating and serious justice as “essential”.

Odd the virus hasn’t stopped police and others involved with law enforcement from doing their jobs. Courts and cases being tried didn’t stop, but the virus slowed Barr and Durham down…. They really think we are dumb…as Barr claims not to be going by an election schedule…. LOL!

Anybody here think Clinesmith was acting alone? That he didn’t have a coordinator up above? Durham better be leaning on him hard, like the pitbulls did on the Mueller team.

Yeah yeah yeah, no mention of prison time or any potential punishment? Y’all know the prison time we’d be two years into if we had done 1% of what they’ve done…

Perhaps by now you’ve all seen the ‘Lou Dobbs’ interview with Tom Fitton, ‘Judicial Watch”. Two Obama and one Bush appointed Appeals Court judges, just ended Fitton’s efforts to get Hilary under oath on Bengazi and her email scandal. The zombie queen walks again.
But, here’s the kicker…Fitton says that the ‘Justice Dept.’, including A.G. Barr and Pompeo’s State Dept. have been hampering the entire process the whole time and are directly responsible for the court’s misappropriation of justice (the reasons given for their decision are right out of ‘Loopy Loophole Land’).
Judicial Justice Jokery…barely even a legal system anymore, but certainly not a system of justice.

On a side note…don’t know how many of you are familiar with ‘Gerald Celente’. He has a YouTube channel and puts out a publication called, ‘The Trends Journal’. He’s been in the business of calling trends and criticizing government boondoggles and boondogglers for many years, and has done a pretty good job of it.
His latest Tube video covers the exodus of the rich out of the ‘Loony Left’ cities happening across America. He bought a lot of property in the places the NYC rich are fleeing to and the values are soaring, yet rather than patting himself on the back for being a good capitalist, tears start streaming down his 70+ year old face at the fate he knows his beloved America is heading for. He knows that things have reached the point of no return and that much ugliness is dead ahead.
This guy is one tough bird and doesn’t hesitate to call a spade a spade…seeing him in tears over America is a moving moment and ought to shake some awake. He believes in God but his presentations do not focus on faith type matters. He gives a perspective from an analysis of the cold hard facts of a system that once worked but is now broken badly.

They are also doing something else to gut Trump’s EO on VISA stuff but I am not going to hunt for the link on that. These people are in your face. The pretense is gone. Hire foreignors over legal U.S. citizens because they are cheap.

Big Tech Joins Chamber of Commerce Lawsuit to
Import Foreign Workers While 26M Americans Jobless

BY JOHN BINDER 14 Aug 2020

Giant tech corporations have joined a Chamber of Commerce lawsuit that seeks to overturn President Trump’s executive order halting visa programs to prioritize unemployed Americans for scarcely available jobs.

Last month, the Chamber of Commerce filed a lawsuit against Trump’s expanded executive order, signed in June, that halts the H-1B, H-4, H-2B, L-1, and J-1 visa programs to reduce foreign competition against millions of unemployed Americans.

Today, there are 26 million Americans who are jobless — 7.7 million of whom are out of the workforce altogether and about two million who have been out of work for months but want full-time employment. Another 8.4 million Americans are working part-time but want full-time jobs.

Now, CEOs for the largest tech corporations in the world have signed onto the lawsuit in an amicus brief. Tech corporations such as Amazon, Facebook, Twitter, Apple, Netflix, Zillow, and PayPal have all signed on to fight Trump’s order.

The full list of those supporting the Chamber of Commerce lawsuit include:

1. Adobe Inc.
( See link for the complete list.
There are 52 of them. It’s sickening.)
