Should the Federal Government have the power to enforce local state law? Yup, if the State is doing an extraordinarily crappy job. The U.S. President is the U.S. citizen’s employee. U.S. citizens have U.S. Constitutional rights.

Everything that has happened will only serve to cement Conservative rule, don’t fall for the seditious propaganda pushed by the media. The ‘peaceful protesters’ are now being treated like the communist thugs they are. The Twitter mobs have wheezed themselves into little more than croaking parrots, everyone needs to stop pretending they have any power over the real world. Stamp Leftist Cancer out wherever it threatens to rot the bones of civilized society, and stay resolute in making sure this election does not turn into a Democrat circus where ‘mail in ballots’ are still being counted weeks later, while the Soros machine hits redline attempting to manufacture a reality that does not exist and never will. Rise up in full support of the police, jeer and mock the last desperate screeches of the cancel culture cultists. In their desperation, the Commies have overplayed their hand. They have run out of gas before the home stretch. The demented zealots running these Democrat nests are going to be feasted upon by their own shambling zombie hordes, who will have no choice but to wake up and join the real world once their cities crumble into dystopian hellscapes from which there is no escape.

Likely mayors and city councils which have been or are directing their police forces not to prevent violent rioting, property damage, looting and arson have issued or are issuing their police forces unlawful orders.

In the military, which was my primary experience, uniformed personnel, perhaps especially officers, are not to follow an unlawful order.

While uniformed personnel are obliged to follow lawful orders, they are prevented by law from following an unlawful order.

This has placed police officers in the unenviable position of following the unlawful orders of elected officials, which may mean in some cases, following unlawful orders.

The defense of “just following orders” was stated by Nazi officials and military personnel at the Nuremberg War Trials, and was determined not to be a defense for war crimes.

Victims of the recent rioting, looting and arson, which in many cases wasn’t stopped due to political elected and appointed leadership preventing police from doing their job, likely will bring suit against political entities such as cities and states and likely will sue cities and states for damages from not carrying out basic public services such as police protection.

The current situation in Portland, where there has been continuous rioting for weeks, going on 40 or 50 days in succession, and the police have been restrained from preventing it, also may be a situation where unlawful orders have been issued by city governments and even state governors.

The situation is reaching the point where rioters, especially ring leaders and king pins, are likely engaging in terrorists activities.

The federal government is involved in fighting terrorism, and that may be what some of the rioting has devolved into.

Terrorists don’t have the same privileges as ordinary citizens, and can be detained as combatants apprehended on the battlefield. Terrorists have been detained at the Guantanamo Bay Terrorist Detention Center where their detention is performed by the military services. Terrorists are entitled to legal representation, however they likely don’t have the same citizenship privileges are ordinary criminals.
While the Obama administration did attempt to try terrorists as ordinary criminals in criminal courts, such as 9/11 terrorists being tried in New York, eventually that approach was abandoned as best I can tell, and terrorists were detained at Guantanamo detention facility and I believe were tried in courts there as well.

Since antifa has been designated a terrorist organization, antifa participants may possibly be detained at Guantanamo. I am uncertain of the status of rioters, especially those who appear to be associated with antifa, which is a general designation for anarchists, possibly they will be detained at Guantanamo, both to protect the public and to obtain intelligence about potential terrorist plots and operations.

I wonder if it might not be better to just let Dem0rat states and cities burn?
