Chicago shooting wounds at least 9 on South Side, police say

At least nine people were wounded Tuesday in a shooting on Chicago’s South Side, police said, as the city continues to grapple with a surge in shootings amid a battle between local leaders and the Trump administration over the use of federal forces in the city to quell the violence.
A police spokesperson told Fox News a shooting occurred at 79th and Carpenter streets, but could not provide further details.
The extent of the victims’ injuries was not specified. Calls to the Chicago Fire Department went unanswered.
The shooting comes a day after more than 20 people were shot Monday and after a deadly weekend in which 63 people were shot and 12 were killed.
On Monday, Trump vowed to send federal forces into the city amid a spike in violent crime. Local leaders have pushed back on the plan, arguing it exceeds the authority of the federal government.

I have 2 friends that did 4 embeds as war correspondents with the Kurds. One a young woman. Neither ever got shot or took mortar shrapnel from ISIS despite being shelled daily and machine gun fights across 200 yards of No Man’s Land. Irag is safer than Chicago. Eleonora carried a pistol but never had to use it.

The good mayor’s of Chicago, NYC, Seattle and Portland out to take some Federal help. What these mayor’s are doing is exactly what they are accusing Trump of doing: playing politics. Indeed these mayor’s are doing just that. Who suffers but the public. The Dems have to go down hard in Nov. or this will never end.

I understand these gangs are involved in the drug business. Well, living here in southern Utah, quite often cars are pulled over with drugs traveling north on I-15, on their way to I-70 & I-80, and points east, some with a couple of million in drugs. And when Trump talks about closing the border, (and this stuff comes from Mexico through California) all he gets is grief. Dim mayors and governors: Don’t give me this sh** about black lives matter!

If secular liberalism, a mind and spirit separated from God, is the criminal mind & representative republics require sanity & virtue to be sustainable, America has reached the tipping point. It would be insane for the sane to expect the insane to exhibit sanity and virtue, nor to employ them in choosing who to vote for, yet this is what we hope, argue and pray for. Recent black lives matters and mobs in the streets proves you cannot cajole, argue or shame them back into civility. They’re to busy doing the condemnation work of the devil to listen. He is the accuser of the brethren the Bible says. No, to confront a nations biblical problem we need to use the Bible and remind them that it says all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, there is none righteous no not one. That includes black lives matters. That includes ancestors of slaves. We all, ALL, equally need redemption and salvation and there is no other name given among men by which a man must be saved than the name & the man Christ Jesus our lord. So, all, let’s all repent of our sins & receive forgiveness from Almighty God.

Last I heard it was a toss up between 14 and 17. This was a shootout at a gang funeral.
Maybe Lightfoot will send her Census Cowboy to round up the bad guys, or have him form a posse of volunteers because, well, she doesn’t trust the police and wants them defunded (cancelled).

I’m sure there is some federal law these radical leftist-global-socialists are breaking by allowing this behavior in their cities to continue unabated… charge them, arrest them, incarcerate them (federal charges, no bail), indict them, try them. The alternative is to wall off their cities, pull all federal monies from these cities, and let them feed on each other with wanton abandon.

Slow night in Chicago….nine wounded, nobody died? And it was near a funeral home? Don’t mean to make light of it, but these dim-controlled cities are out of control. When trump points it out, he’s the bad guy.
