UK announce it will spend £700m to secure Britain-EU border

30

More than £700 million ($885 million) is to be spent on building new infrastructure, hiring staff and developing technology to secure Britain’s border when the UK leaves the EU at the end of the year.

Cabinet Office Minister Michael Gove said,

“We are taking back control of our borders, and leaving the single market and the customs union at the end of this year bringing both changes and significant opportunities for which we all need to prepare.”

The £705 million package will be used to recruit around 500 more Border Force personnel,  staffing and IT systems, new equipment to keep the country safe, and £470 million for port and inland infrastructure to ensure compliance with new customs procedures and controls.

New border infrastructure will be built inland where there is no space at ports, while ports will get one-off financial support to ensure the right infrastructure is in place.

The funding relates only to the implementation of the GB-EU border. The Government is expected to publish specific guidance and measures for Northern Ireland in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, the Sunday Telegraph reported that Chancellor Rishi Sunak is poised to introduce tax cuts and an overhaul of planning laws in up to 10 new freeports.

Mr Sunak is said to be planning to open bidding for towns, cities and regions to become freeports – where UK taxes and tariffs will not apply – in his autumn Budget.

Draconian measures are the only way to teach these illegal trespassers.
No amount of mollycoddling and talk of asylum is going to deter anyone.

But … but .. but … what would the BBC say about that?

Dave Glynn

The BBC are silent on the issue of illegals arriving unless someone creates an incident on which they are forced to report.
Yesterday (Sunday) over 200 illegals were brought into Dover harbour by the UK Border Force/Farce
And this morning they were still arriving. There’s a bloke who’s gone down to Dover called Active Patriot who has been filming and reporting on it via YouTube.
He’s a bit of a thick head so the reporting isn’t great but he’s the only one monitoring this invasion.
If this shite doesn’t change then we will be swamped.
Stronger government action is definitely needed.

Keep fighting the good fight. It seems that there are far more patriots, such as you, in the UK, than in the US. However, only time will tell.

We need a leader of Winston’s calibre at this time of great uncertainty but I fear that Boris isn’t fit to lace that great mans boots never mind fill them.
He was under no illusions as to the evils of islam and would stop this invasion in the blink of an eye.

What about the f’ing muslums who are just sailing across the Channel into the UK? Will anyone in the United Kaliphate be securing them?

I too am totally disgusted by the UK Border Force (or Farce) the way the French Navy escorts these dinghy’s full of muzrats through French waters into British and handing them over to the UK Border Farce to bring them safely to Dover. I can only think that the tough talking Home Secretary Pritti Patel is waiting for the final day of Brexit when we cut all ties with the EU including the ECJ (European Court of Justice) when from that point they can’t stick their nose in and tell us what to do with the illegal immigrants.
Hopefully she will then act tough and send them straight back to France that same day and confiscate or destroy their boats.
If this doesn’t happen then they can look for their votes from elsewhere as I know no one who would continue voting for them.
WE WILL FIGHT THEM ON THE BEACHES!

I’m to the point where, at least in the US, I do not expect any positive “government action”.

If it still so much as a glimmering hope for you, in the UK, I tip my hat.

I’ve given up on this country.

With Trump in charge there’s always hope.
If he goes and the dems get in then that’s when you should barricade your windows and have the ammo to hand.

I have become very disappointed with the president. His “pathway to citizenship” for a large group of ILLEGAL ALIENS was … pretty much, the last straw.

No hope. No rest for the weary. Evil abounds.

I feel Trump is being massively hamstrung by those around him and they seem to have been trying to stab him in the back and derail his agenda from day One. I hope to god he achieves a second term and comes out fighting with renewed strength.

Your a realist and it’s a pity you haven’t a line direct to the White House where I’m sure that your insight would be of more value to Trump than the back stabbing advice the sycophants offer him.

I have plenty of ammunition and multiple dozens of firearms. I’m a collector, of sort. Not in the fashion of what I once was. Rather, somewhat eclectic. Yesterday, at auction, I picked up a Kalashnikov in .308 Winchester .. bolt action (yes, Kalashnikov manufactures a wide array of sporting rifles) … I am a sucker for beautiful wood …. and, although I’m not that much of a fan of the .308, when I saw the wood, I just HAD to have it.

And, I picked up another Henry Big Boy, in .44 Magnum. I already have one in .41 Magnum and another in .357 Magnum, but I am a sucker for lever actions and brass.

Nothing high end, just some fun trifles to play with. More than likely, they’ll turn into Safe Queens.

To me who is starved of such wonders it all sounds absolutely fantastic and I look forward to seeing it on my visit ‘whenever that is’ I have to renew my Yankee passport and make sure the fledgling scaffolding business is on an even keel first. I hope the day that the dems get back into power is a very long way off as the way the political climate is at the moment I’m sure if Trump lost the next election and the scum got in they would press for anti gun ownership legislation.

Try this: illegals just about never get deported, released to show up in court and don’t, and appeals that go on forever. How about deportation orders or denial of entry to be executed immediately.

The same advice applies to the US and Canada.

There is no need for additional security. Just use the law and get it done quickly. When a “refugee” comes in via a safe nation, or via a first nation of safe harbour, apply for refugee status there, as you are supposed to do.

Australia will allow these people in, but they can never come to the mainland. They are shipped off to an island and must stay there unless they want to return home. Sounds good to me!

Maybe after Britain leaves the EU fully on the 31st of December when we also cut ties with the ECJ things will change and get tougher on the illegal scum that washes up on England’s beaches.????

All well and good IF the will to enforce rejection and or detention really is there in that nest of traitors called the home office..

New checks and facilities inland might work if the regular cutting of the vinyl curtain side lorry cargo covers could be prevented because the gimmigrants slash the sides before climbing aboard in Calais.

Steel or carbon laced curtains which were uncuttable should be made legal and installed if they can be proved to work.
