The MSM told us that Hydroxychloroquine is deadly, and insisted that Trump has a financial interest in the company that produces this drug. Like the Democrat Party, the MSM has an interest in keeping America shut down. That is because President Trump has a much better chance of being re-elected in November if America is open. An America that has a roaring economy. Don’t expect these thugs in suits to apologize for their latest act of negligence and malfeasance.
Hydroxychloroquine lowers COVID-19 death rate, Henry Ford Health study finds

Story continues below advertisementA Henry Ford Health System study shows the controversial anti-malaria drug hydroxychloroquine helps lower the death rate of COVID-19 patients, the Detroit-based health system said Thursday.
Officials with the Michigan health system said the study found the drug “significantly” decreased the death rate of patients involved in the analysis.
The study analyzed 2,541 patients hospitalized among the system’s six hospitals between March 10 and May 2 and found 13% of those treated with hydroxychloroquine died while 26% of those who did not receive the drug died.
Among all patients in the study, there was an overall in-hospital mortality rate of 18%, and many who died had underlying conditions that put them at greater risk, according to Henry Ford Health System. Globally, the mortality rate for hospitalized patients is between 10% and 30%, and it’s 58% among those in the intensive care unit or on a ventilator.

A surprising new study found that the controversial antimalarial drug hydroxychloroquine helped patients better survive in the hospital.
A team at Henry Ford Health System in Southeast Michigan said Thursday its study of 2,541 hospitalized patients found that those given hydroxychloroquine were much less likely to die.Dr. Marcus Zervos, division head of infectious disease for Henry Ford Health System, said 26% of those not given hydroxychloroquine died, compared to 13% of those who got the drug. The team looked back at everyone treated in the hospital system since the first patient in March.“Overall crude mortality rates were 18.1% in the entire cohort, 13.5% in the hydroxychloroquine alone group, 20.1% among those receiving hydroxychloroquine plus azithromycin, 22.4% among the azithromycin alone group, and 26.4% for neither drug,” the team wrote in a report published in the International Journal of Infectious Diseases.It’s a surprising finding because several other studies have found no benefit from hydroxychloroquine, a drug originally developed to treat and prevent malaria. President Donald Trump touted the drug heavily, but later studies found not only did patients not do better if they got the drug, they were more likely to suffer cardiac side effects.The US Food and Drug Administration withdrew its emergency use authorization for the drug earlier this month and trials around the world, including trials sponsored by the World Health Organization and the National Institutes of Health, were halted.“Our results do differ from some other studies,” Zervos told a news conference. “What we think was important in ours … is that patients were treated early. For hydroxychloroquine to have a benefit, it needs to begin before the patients begin to suffer some of the severe immune reactions that patients can have with Covid,” he added.
he Henry Ford team also monitored patients carefully for heart problems, he said.“The combination of hydroxychloroquine plus azithromycin was reserved for selected patients with severe COVID-19 and with minimal cardiac risk factors,” the team wrote.The Henry Ford team said they believe their findings show hydroxychloroquine could be potentially useful as a treatment for coronavirus.“It’s important to note that in the right settings, this potentially could be a lifesaver for patients,” Dr. Steven Kalkanis, CEO of the Henry Ford Medical Group, said at the news conference.

The replies to Rudy’s tweet about Pamela Geller’s report are striking. None actually read the source study, which is definitive, with good controls, and a very large sample of serious Covid-19 patients. It was done in the USA, with excellent supportive health care. It supersedes all previous Covid-19 hydroxychloroquine studies, in terms of quality and credibility. But the replies ignore all that, and most just attack Rudy, or Pamela, or both.Almost all the replies contain false information. Some just poo-poo the report because it comes from ‘the far right’ Geller Report. Others claim the study is false, but clearly have not read it. And most indicate that they would not take hydroxychloroquine no matter what happened.But of course, if they survive Covid-19 with a life-long disability, from lung damage, stroke, heart attack, or other problems, they will demand life-long chronic disability care. Even though most would avoid those health problems with proper treatment with hydroxychloroquine, azithromycin, remdesivir, and dexamethasone.

It’s only controversial because the media made it so. This one baffles me. YouTube silenced a doctors podcast for giving basically these same stats several weeks ago.

Local Houston doctor treated all ot the patients at a nursing home with hydrochloride and did not have a single fatality,although all were exposed early by a worker. Neighboring nursing home refused the drug and suffered many fatalities. Common sense and observation confirms this works,maybe not perfectly but certainly better than anything else Fauci has come up with.
