The great American comeback has begun

14

America’s comeback has begun! The economic numbers are in, and they are impressive. 2.5 million jobs were created in the month of May. Now is the time to go back on offense, Mr. President. Get back on the road. Start the Trump rallies again!!! By the way, the Democrats and the MSM are surely distraught with the strong economic numbers. They hate it when America wins.

New York, California, Pennsylvania and other Democrat states will be trying to play catch up.

Stocks soar after job market’s surprise bonanza

By Fox News, June 5, 2020

U.S. equity markets surged Friday morning after the economy unexpectedly added jobs in May as businesses began reopening their doors following lockdowns ordered to slow the spread of COVID-19.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 673 points, or 2.56 percent, in the opening minutes of trading while the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq Composite rose 1.96 percent and 0.9 percent, respectively.

The U.S. economy added 2.51 million jobs in May as the unemployment rate fell to 13.3 percent, according to a report released Friday morning by the Labor Department. Wall Street analysts surveyed by Refinitv were expecting the economy to lose 8 million jobs as the unemployment rate spiked to 19.8 percent.

President Trump, who posted an enthusiastic tweet afterward, will be holding a 10 a.m. ET press conference at the White House to discuss the report.

The labor market may see further gains in the month of June after New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Thursday said New York City will begin its Phase 1 reopening on Monday, allowing construction, manufacturing and limited retail services to restart.
Air carriers continued to soar after United Airlines announced plans to reinstate flights to 150 destinations beginning in July. Rival American Airlines announced on Thursday it would increase its flight schedule to 55 percent capacity.

Other travel-related names, including cruise operators, hotels and booking sites also outperformed.

In retail, embattled department store J.C. Penney is closing 154 sites in 38 states as it reorganizes its business after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy last month.

On the earnings front, Gap lost nearly $1 billion during the three months through March as the COVID-19 pandemic forced the company to shutter stores. The retailer said 55 percent of its locations have reopened and online sales are strong.

I will savor the moment when the irresponsible blue states demand to be bailed out and Trump gives them the middle finger.

Given that insurance companies are going to be facing massive claims for damages in these swamp dwellers cities, will they launch some sort of class action against mayors that refused to do their job of maintaining law and order? Would be great to see.

Locally, last night’s traffic was insane. I went out to get some pizza. 1st major pizza chain would not serve me because I wouldn’t wear a mask. 2nd major pizza chain wouldn’t take my order by phone (So why are they answering the phone? I wondered.) Finally, my pizza lust was satiated by going to a small mom and pop shop who took my order and told me if I didn’t want to wear a mask, that was fine, they understood. A lot of these big businesses that think they are too big to care about losing a customer here and there should beware. A trickle becomes a stream becomes a river. A lot of people are sick of being mistreated by businesses that have acted like the customer can get bent.

People are really sick of being bullied…especially by fascist females. My compliments – besides, the small ones need the business more as well.

Hooray – only 41.5 million instead of 44 million out of work, but who cares, stocks are up

Hooray – the wealth gap between the elite rich and the rest of us, is the biggest its ever been, but stocks are up.

Hooray – the Federal Reserve (not ‘Federal’ at all and the worst of the worst private bankers), now has license to own just about everything (the founding fathers stated this as the beginning of ‘Slavelandia’ (Harrold Celente), but look at them stocks.

Hooray – the fat cats got so much money from the recent bailouts (paid for by your greatgreatgreatgreat grandchildren), that they’ve nearly bought the stock indexes back to new highs…so glad that everyone is participating equally in that…and yet productivity is at record lows. Go stocks go.

Hooray – debt is through the roof (took us a 100yrs to reach 7trillion and 5mons to double that), but who cares – stocks are up.
Hooray – bankruptcies are up and threaten to get worse, but…you know
Hooray – the country is ripping itself apart, but…its celebration time…stocks, stocks, stocks.
Hooray – Covid19 is defeated (though history tells us early 1918, the 1st wave hit…quarantines, isolation, masks were all instituted, but faced resistance/rebellion after a short time because the public didn’t trust the numbers and government rhetoric – antimask and antilockdown movements sprang up. August,1918, 2nd wave hits after mutating, it targets the young because they had coronavirus antibodies in their system from exposure to the Russian Flu Pandemic 1892-1899…just like the SARS vaccine (2003) killed all test animals on exposure to SARS, their own immune system over-response kills millions), “Lets go Barbie, time to party”!

I know the Left doesn’t care about facts, but I thought we still did.

wallowing in negativity never helped anyone

James Jones

Presenting facts is “wallowing in negativity”? Does eating pie from the sky help…serve me up some of that.
Titanic Captain on general intercom, “We’ve seemed to have had a little mishap”. First Mate, “Well done sir, no wallowing there”.

If I said that its going to get worse, would you think me even more negative?

What is going on has nothing to do with George Floyd or even any ‘black life’ for that matter. This is about Trump 2020 and every failed attempt to date, to get him out. This is literally a ‘mad’ rush to capitalize on any issue for the hope of smearing him enough to lose. And if that fails and he wins again (which he will), the ‘hate momentum’ that is cresting now, will be enough to put Trump alongside Lincoln and JFK. This is not their ideal outcome, but 4 more years of a more experienced President who will not have to be concerned so much with re-election again and just might pursue all those lofty “America First” promises of draining the swamp, is beyond tolerable.

We ain’t out of no woods by a long shot.

2 million people file for unemployment each week in May, and the unemployment rate goes down? I’d double check the calculations.
