Biden’s Proposed Offshore Drilling Ban Would Kill 200,000 American Jobs and Billions in Government Revenue

26

How does Joe Biden respond when asked about the tens of thousands of people who would lose their livelihoods because of his policies? They should “learn code,” says the former vice president. Even with dementia Biden is still an arrogant prick!

Hey, it’s what the Democrats do. If it’s bad for America, it’s good for the Dems.

Biden’s Proposed Offshore Drilling Ban Would Kill 200,000 American Jobs and Billions in Government Revenue

By Power the Future, May 27, 2020

“Moderate” Joe Biden is back at it again, taking shots at the oil and gas industry because he’s so desperate to gain support from eco-extremists in his own party. All the while, he’s isolating himself from the centrist voters necessary for him to beat President Trump in the upcoming presidential election.

According to a new study, released Tuesday by the National Ocean Industries Association, the potential consequences of Democratic nominee Biden’s proposal to ban new offshore oil and gas drilling on federal waters would cost nearly 200,000 jobs and strip the U.S. government of billions of dollars in revenue.

In 2019, the offshore oil and natural gas industry, directly and indirectly, supported roughly 345,000 jobs in the U.S. The report projects average employment to decline to 179,000 jobs under Biden’s proposed permitting ban. Jobs in the offshore oil and gas industry, which are capital-intensive and reliant on the manufacturing of associated equipment, are present in nearly all 50 states.

Erik Milito, president of the National Ocean Industries Association, was quoted in a recent Washington Examiner article, “You have this economic machine that is the Gulf of Mexico oil and gas industry that really feeds into the whole country. You destroy so much when you take it away.”

The study projects that oil and natural gas production from the Gulf of Mexico would decline on average by more than 55% to 1.1 million barrels per day until 2040, compared to what would be expected with no leasing restrictions.

The study says offshore oil and natural gas production in the year 2040 would fall to 323,000 barrels per day compared to 1.96 million barrels per day with no leasing ban.

It also projects government revenues to fall with an offshore permitting ban, given the royalty payments and other fees that companies pay for producing on federal lands. Revenues to the government, some of which are distributed to Gulf Coast states, would average around $2.7 billion per year through 2040, compared to $5.4 billion in 2019.

Offshore oil and gas producers are already facing a harrowing situation because of the coronavirus-fueled price crash; however, the industry is expected to bounce back. If the proposed ban were enacted, it would push offshore production to other parts of the world who would reap the economic benefits.

A drilling ban would eliminate nearly 200,000 jobs and take away billions of dollars in U.S. government revenue. The eco-left continues to push misguided policy in order to appeal to their party’s base, ignoring the implications this would have on American jobs and the U.S. economy.

They view their base as dumb and count on them being ignorant.
The liberal MSM feeds them garbage and they believe it and even if hey don’t they want government to support them. Work is a four letter swear word to them.

Someone has to take the time and compile a book of the Biden gaffes with videos, references, and supporting documents. It would make excellent campaign fodder. Ridicule, especially fact-based ridicule, is a powerful persuader. No one wants to openly admit support for a fool and obviously unfit to hold the office of POTUS.

Joe Biden Again Says ‘Intercourse’ When Discussing Trump’s Coronavirus Response
JOSHUA CAPLAN 1 May 2020

Former Vice President Joe Biden, the presumptive Democrat presidential nominee, again bizarrely used the term “intercourse” when discussing President Donald Trump’s response to the Chinese coronavirus pandemic.

“The pandemic is the president has no intercourse whatsoever with the rest of the world on dealing with these things,” Biden said during an interview with MSNBC’s Morning Joe on Friday.

If that gaffe wasn’t enough he went on….

Biden then recounted the Obama administration’s response to the 2014 Ebola crisis by mistakenly referring to the deadly illness as the “coronavirus” outbreak, before quickly correcting himself. “Barack Obama led on the corona — I mean, excuse me — in the pandemic that occurred when we were in office. It was kept in Africa. We organized the world, we put things together.”

Biden first used the term “intercourse” during a Monday interview with CBS4 Miami, when asked if he would restore funding to the World Health Organization, which President Trump halted in response to its actions with China at the start of the coronavirus outbreak in Wuhan.

“If, in fact, for example, we solve the problem in the United States of America and you don’t solve it in other parts of the world, you know what’s going to happen. You’re going to have travel bans, you’re going to not be able to do, have economic intercourse around the world,” the former vice president said.

Boom! Trump Signs Executive Order To Prevent Political Hijacking On Social Media
– all the Big Tech bad boys are involved
More details to come, but the basic idea is to get Big Tech to act like a public service phone company. Trump drew the comparison between phone companies, who don’t censor conversations, texts, images, and videos, and Big Tech, who do censor all communication forms. Big Tech has no right to censor conversation or communication between individuals or groups.

Trump: “A small handful of social media monopolies controls a vast portion of all public and private communications in the United States…They’ve had unchecked power to censor, restrict, edit, shape, hide, alter, virtually any form of communication between private citizens and large public audiences.”

The BIG test will come this week, as Big Tech complies, or not. YouTube must restore all the stuff that commies ‘don’t like’. Pamela Geller is the canary in the coal mine, because she won’t back down or change her reporting. She just sticks to the truth. Commies hate Geller because she opposes Islamists and tyrant leftists. And commies need Islamists to help them wreck the country. SO they try to censor her and shut her down any way they can.

Pamela Geller must get her full rights back on FaceBook and her several other platforms in full, with decent advertising rights and deals. This commie censorship must end within one week, or the gloves will be off. Trump’s main point is that he will shut down commie censorship, one way or another. He will use Executive Orders, litigation, law enforcement changes, and legislation to do this.

Epoch Times has the best summary at the moment:
“Trump Signs Executive Order Targeting Political Bias in Social Media Firms”

The Executive Order Trump signed today will require the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to create regulations that will exempt social media websites from protections under Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act. That act was supposed to shield websites from lawsuits over nasty commenters. The liability for defamation, slander, threats, etc., falls to the commenter, not to the website. But Big Tech used that law to avoid all liability, no matter who did it. A.G. Barr was also at that press conference, and he said he will fix the way that law is enforced, to restore the original intent. He will help write the new FCC rules. That means that Big Tech can now be sued for the rotten things they do. The Executive Order will also prohibit federal agencies from spending advertising dollars on platforms that violate the First Amendment. That will choke off many billions in ad revenues to Big Tech.
THIS is a brand new day.

The Democrats do everything possible to weaken and destroy the USA. At the same time they do everything possible to enrich and enable natural enemies like communist China and Islam.

Who would the Democrats be if they wouldn’t be threatened by communist China as the new global super power?

Who would the Democrats be if they wouldn’t be threatened by Islamic expansion across the globe?

No one would be safe if China became the new global super power.

No one would be safe if Islam expanded across the globe.

What picture is this painting?

This picture is why the Democrats MUST take the WH. The downfall/destruction of the USA has to coincide with the destruction of China and Islam. It would take a powerful arsenal to do such a thing. Europe, culled as it would be after the Muslims are gone, would be kings of the hill again…what a coincidence.

His handlers tell him this will be part of his policy….he is not mentally fit enough to grasp something like this. But, it does go to making the US economy weaker, which is a main policy for any leftist/democratic/communist politician.

When analyzing the actual impact of these job losses we must also consider what economists term the “multiplier effect.” which is the total amount of economic activity lost to the national economy and is normally about 15 times the value of the wages. Offshore drilling and support services are high wage jobs that average about $110,000 each.If we consider the multiplier effect or losses to the economy it would be in the range of $300 to $350 billion hit to the GNP.

In addition to shutting down offshore oil, Biden wants to shut the Keystone pipeline, fracking and the coal industry. What this could cause is the loss of multiple millions of jobs, $10 per gal. gas, 300% increase in electrical costs and billions in loss of government revenue. How is the gov. going to make up that loss? Raise taxes of course.
