Judge Matthew Stewart ruled that Karl Manke will not have to close his shop after the state again failed to prove he was an imminent danger to public health.
Stewart said the state did not arrest Manke when he was cited, so he didn’t represent “an imminent health danger.”
“(The attorney general) has not presented any studies underlying the doctor’s conclusion. (The attorney general) has not shown any nexus between the cutting of hair and an increased risk of transmission,” Stewart wrote, the Detroit Free Press reported.
“(The attorney general’s) filings rest more on general facts about COVID-19 than specific practices or conditions at (Manke’s) business.”
Nessel’s office said she would appeal the ruling.
The Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs suspended Manke’s license without a hearing.
“It’s an unbelievable abuse of power,” attorney David Kallman told radio host Steve Gruber, stating there is no legal basis for the action.
“This is pure retribution by the governor’s office and by the AG. This is so petty and vindictive, it’s beyond the pale,” Kallman said.
After her defeat, Nessel attacked Manke publicly.
We want him to discontinue his conduct, which we think is aiding and abetting the spread of the virus,” Nessel claimed.
“Mr. Manke,” she sighed, “He’s not a hero, he’s not a patriot. A patriot is a person that fights all enemies, foreign and domestic, and does everything possible to protect his fellow countrymen and countrywomen.”
“To me, Mr. Manke is doing just the opposite of that and he’s being selfish in his behavior,” the attorney general declared.

Masks have proven to be, and as many doctors and virologists have explained, totally useless as protection against the Chinese virus and are in fact more of a health hazard. Those same experts have explained that social distancing is also totally unnecessary as the virus is not, as claimed by all the gibbering MSM experts, an airborne virus nor does it linger for long on most surfaces, as also claimed by the (LOL) morons like Fauchi so this brave citizen is pursuing an absolutely harmless benefit.

What would you do about a person like me who has a very hard time wearing a mask. I was forced to wear one in Costco the other day. About half an hour is all I can take. It becomes hard for me to breathe and function in general. I have no respiratory issues and the mask wasn’t too tight. I just can’t handle re-breathing my own CO2. I don’t have Covid-19. In fact, I eat so much garlic this time of year that viruses probably can’t handle being around me.

Wear a fake mask. Easy enough to make one at home. I dont agree with masks just giving options to satisfy the Karens. Maybe a knitted one like Alyssa Milano. Use extremely porous cloth that stops virtually nothing.

Rebreathing CO2 is a big, ignored problem. According to the NY Post, two boys died earlier this month while wearing the masks during gym class. But, don’t expect the “authorities” to acknowledge any of that.

Schools have been shut down here since sometime in March. I can’t imagine anyone so dumb that would make kids wear a masks while exerting themselves in gym. How dumb can you be and still breathe? It breaks my heart that 2 boys died for nothing like that. I feel very bad for the families. In this case they need to sue and make sure nothing this insane ever happens to anyone again.
I was just in Costco mainly to get a chicken when they forced me to wear a mask. Though I have no respiratory issues, half an hour was all I could take. I literally felt unwell and not able to think as straight. It was definitely a matter of rebreathing CO2 even though I didn’t have the mask that tight. It was also unusually warm inside. I am going to take Paul’s advice a step further and make my own mask as a symbol of rebellion. I may use cheesecloth, or something gauzy and flimsy. I will make sure it looks like a joke. I have asked many retail workers how they cope with this issue of being forced to wear a mask and have been told many times that it is extremely difficult. They have to pull it down now and then to get air. I will take the risk of the virus over feeling like I may pass out wearing a mask.

A couple of virus related observations that I have wanted to discuss with you, santashandler.
1) Have you seen the glorious knit masks that many celebrities are wearing? They’re more like a crochet doily. How many microbes does something like that catch?
2) A company that manufactures the thermal imaging optics that I own, a couple of thermal imaging night scopes and a night spotting scope, also thermal imaging, has decided to jump on the Covid-19 bandwagon. They’re now manufacturing Thermal Fever Detectors. Gotta hand it to American ingenuity.

Well, Mohandjob, I have not seen any of those ‘amazing’ celebrity masks. Though, I’m sure the celebrities look really great as they drive in their Range Rovers and Maserati’s down the 405 freeway, on their way to Gelson’s supermarket, or their dog therapists. Though, I’m sure, it’s more how they look, than actually catching microbes. I mean, this is the land of show and fakery, after all.
“Thermal Fever Detectors.” Great! I wonder if they can adapt those devices to detect mental disorders. They could use them to deny mentally disordered people from entering restaurants, theme parks, etc. It sure would make the experience for those of us who got in, a whole lot more pleasurable. Imagine being in an environment without mentally disordered people. Oh, we can dream, can’t we.

The owner of a Northern Michigan dock company says Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s husband wanted his boat placed in the water before the Memorial Day weekend as Whitmer urged residents not to rush to the region.
No longer visible to the public, Facebook posts from NorthShore Dock LLC and its owner, Tad Dowker, focused on what Dowker said was a request last week by Whitmer’s husband, Marc Mallory. The posts have drawn the attention of Republican state lawmakers, who said the Democratic governor’s family may not be following her guidance for the rest of the state.
The city in question is Elk Rapids, which is part of the larger vacation home hot spot in Northern Michigan. Whitmer had literally just told people two days before the call was made not to go to the region from other parts of the state, once again citing fears of the virus. She and her husband do not live there, but in Lansing. Boil this all down, and Whitmer’s husband was pressuring a dock company for special treatment in an area of the state his wife was telling others to stay away from. Vacations for me but not for thee I suppose.

On May 18, Whitmer announced plans to lift restrictions on northern Lower Michigan and the Upper Peninsula ahead of the Memorial Day weekend.
“If you don’t live in these regions … think long and hard before you take a trip into them,” Whitmer said at the May 18 press conference.

“This morning, I was out working when the office called me, there was a gentleman on hold who wanted his boat in the water before the weekend,” Dowker posted. “Being Memorial weekend and the fact that we started working three weeks late means there is no chance this is going to happen.”
“Well our office personnel had explained this to the man and he replied, ‘I am the husband to the governor, will this make a difference?’”

USPS Mail Carrier Charged with Fraud After Allegedly Tampering with Vote-by-Mail Requests

Federal and state prosecutors in West Virginia announced Tuesday that it they had charged a U.S. Postal Service mail carrier with attempted fraud for allegedly tampering with requests for vote-by-mail absentee ballots.
A joint statement by West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey, U.S. Attorney Bill Powell, and Secretary of State Mac Warner said:
Thomas Cooper, 47, of Dry Fork, stands charged with attempting to defraud the residents of West Virginia of a fair election. An affidavit accompanying the criminal complaint states Cooper fraudulently altered eight absentee ballot requests in Pendleton County, of which the complaint states he fraudulently changed the party affiliation on five from Democrat to Republican.
“Manipulating one’s absentee ballot or application is not a laughing matter – it’s a federal offense,” Attorney General Morrisey said. “We must protect the integrity of the ballot box, and this demonstrates the aggressive action we will take to do so. It is more important now than ever for voters to watch for unexplained or suspicious marks and/or any other irregularity with their ballot. If something looks suspicious, let us know right away.”
The affidavit states Cooper accessed the ballot requests through his employment as a rural mail carrier. He was responsible for mail delivery in the three towns from which the tampered requests were mailed – Onego, Riverton and Franklin.
According to the affidavit, Cooper admitted to altering some of the requests.
The announcement came at roughly the same time that Twitter assigned a fact check warning to President Donald Trump for his claims that voting by mail was uniquely susceptible to fraud.
It was the first time that Twitter had used such a label with one of Trump’s tweets.

When I was a member of ACT for America earlier in the 21st century, it became known to all members that snail mail going to/from ACT for America’s headquarters was systematically disappearing and/or being tampered with before it reached its final destination. It was suspected by my chapter leader that all names and addresses of people writing to ACT for America were being logged by employees at the USPS. Eventually and surprisingly the USPS cleaned up its act WRT ACT for America.

Here in northern CA…I have been 3 months w/o a haircut, courtesy of our communist Governor…useless Newsom….of course, I could cut it myself….of course, I could pay another off-the-books professional to cut it….that’s not the point….in principle alone, the Governor should appear at my house and cut my hair…and, if he performs improperly, then I strap him to a cactus in my back yard….until he gets “educated”

Some people hit the panic button, but don’t have a clue what to do next. This virus was the button that politicians sounded, but nobody had a plan for what to do next. They still don’t know what works, and there is not as much evidence that a “shutdown” was needed, knowing that the virus has to run its course.
We were told that “Flattening the Curve” may slow things down long enough for doctors and nurses to catch their breathe, but nobody expected that it would end Wuhan. The sole purpose was to slow it down, and now we must return to normal. The only way Wuhan ceases to be a threat is when everybody has had it and we have immunity. We can’t realistically expect a vaccine, when we don’t even have one for a cold.
Some people will start throwing out the good with the ad because they don’t know what to do next. Perhap that is why we wondered about HILLARY’S resonse to a 3 AM call. When you are in PANIC! mode, your thinking defies logic. The governor, in this case, refuses to be found “wrong” so she keeps pushing. Perhaps she needs her hair cut. (Very short).

When people are in a panic they loose the ability to think rationally.
Those who let their emotions do their thinking on a routine basis become completely incapacitated in a panic situation. What makes them even more dangerous is that their panic response will get people who haven’t “lost their head” [which these people have] injured and killed.
For example, putting people recovering from C-19 into nursing homes that are filled with an already vulnerable population.
Whitmer is just one of the Demoncrat Governors who are responding with panic, even though they are maintaining their well practiced calm political demeanor. Until enough of the population realized that these individuals are more of a Public Health Threat than the virus, the Media Mob will continue to incite panic, which serves their agenda neatly.
