I am aware of those verses. I don’t see how you can fully appreciate the New Testament with out reading and understanding the Old Testament. The two are linked. The New Testament constantly references the Old Testament and adds clarification.

You certainly wouldn’t want to take them out of the Bible! What they show is how God views sin and what He views as proper punishment. Understand, when you are a righteous, perfect God, you can not tolerate sin. It has to be punished. Just imagine what His ultimate wrath will be like…. That was just a warm up.

It was directed to the Hebrews, who were living under a theocracy at the time. One of the reasons the Ten Commandments came about was to define what sin is. They are really the foundation for most of the sin out there.

Christians aren’t under the law. Good Christian churches don’t neglect any of God’s word. I don’t know how they handle that in synagogues.

When I read, “Our Father who art in heaven…” that tells me He is not a female and certainly not a tranny when any of that stuff really pisses Him off. What I can speak to is those punishments mentioned in the Old Testament show another side to Him. He’s not a pushover. He’s not going to redefine Himself, and lower His standards to please licentious people that violate His teachings in increasingly outrageous ways.We should love as well as fear Him. This ‘crisis’ we are currently facing is very likely the ‘pre-tribulation’ event that sets up the final conditions. Things that I once thought would take years to develop, are happening now in mere month’s time. The chaos that began with the ‘handling’ of this virus, is only just beginning.

One doesn’t need to use much imagination to understand. It’s all very clearly written in Leviticus. Nothing needs to be expanded on it.
