London will blare Islamic call to prayer during Ramadan as churches remain closed
The words in the Adhan state: ‘Allah is the greatest. I bear witness that there is no god except Allah. I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. Come to prayer. Come to salvation.’

LONDON, May 19, 2020 (LifeSiteNews) – A London suburb totalling a mere 15 square miles in size and with a population of less than 300,000 people has granted permission for the first time to nine mosques to broadcast the Islamic call to prayer during Ramadan.
The news was published earlier this month in an article in The Metro, which included a video of the “Adhan” being chanted above from the roof of a mosque in Waltham Forest.
Waltham Forest is one London’s 32 boroughs, each of which has its own elected local council.
Clare Coghill, the leader of Waltham Forest Council, said that the Adhan being broadcast was “an alternative form of connection” for Muslims, with mosques currently closed along with all other places of worship in the U.K. as part of the nationwide coronavirus lockdown.
“Ramadan is normally a time for the Muslim community to come together to pray and break their fast,” she said.
“Like many aspects of all our lives, this has been affected by Covid-19 and the requirement to remain socially distant. As an alternative form of connection during this special month, the Waltham Forest Council of Mosques contacted the council to request that as an alternative to congregating they announce a short call to prayer at a number of mosques adapted to remind worshippers to stay at home,” she continued.
“The council considered the request as it would with any religious or faith group looking to responsibly worship during this difficult time. Ramadan Mubarak to all our Muslim community.”
The Adhan will be broadcast each day at sunset, with an additional broadcast each Friday. The words in the Adhan state: “Allah is the greatest. I bear witness that there is no god except Allah. I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. Come to prayer. Come to salvation.”
Cardinal Vincent Nichols, the senior Catholic cleric in the U.K., marked the beginning of Ramadan by joining a host of religious leaders in an interfaith event titled “Ramadan at Home,” organised by the Naz Legacy.

The Catholic bishops of England & Wales prohibited the celebration of public Masses before the lockdown came into force and, according to their own statement, played a crucial role themselves in convincing the government to require that churches be closed altogether.
Nichols recently told Catholics in Britain that it would be a “scandal” to open churches for private prayer.

My position on the word “islamist” is that like islamophobia it is “a word invented by fascists and used by cowards to manipulate morons.” because no muslum, no imam, no mullah, no ayatrollah, no islamic state, no muslum terrorist organisation, no muslum NGO self-identifies as “islamist”. It is a neologism designed to create a false dichotomy in islum to make it seem as if there’s a good islum and a bad islum but there isn’t, it’s all the same Jew hating, fascist, totalitarian garbage and all I have to do is look at any islamic state in the 21st century or Dearbornistan, Michigan as proof of that.

Come to think of it, I don’t believe Hitler killed anyone, but he certainly incited a lot people to do that. The same trick is used by imams in mosques to incite Jihadis to kill infidels. Well Google is too simple to explain why. It just tracks searches, and where they come from. It does not explain why people are making those searches. Example: I also looked at ‘NYPD union’ searches, to compare to ‘Pamela Geller’ [both New York City based news topics].
The NYPD union was recently in the news when they badmouthed the NY mayor for making them ticket and arrest people for dumb Covid-19 ‘crimes’. Right after that news, the Google searches for ‘NYPD Union’ jumped up, then dropped days later. But Pamela’s Google searches just keep going along, with worldwide continuing interest. All we know from Google is that Pamela Geller is interesting.

Dave. I just checked my eyeballs and they are OK. Maybe you misunderstood my point. Pamela Geller is NOT an Islamist, she is an anti-Islamist. Some countries have anti-Islamist websites, but not all. So therefore, the idea is that Brits are visiting Geller Report becasue the UK has insufficient anti-Islamist web news. Capiche?

Thanks, I wanted to make sure I was right before casting the first stone, Felix. I would protest if I were in such a neighborhood, and likely be stoned to death. Not only by the Muslims but the MSM and, of course, the Grand Mufti, Trudeau. Meanwhile, Christians and Jews are denied the right to seek communal prayer.

I’m half American and carry both passports so moving to the US would be no problem but I have lived in England all my life and I see my fight a beings over here, And there is much to do.
I do have the strongest regards for the USA though and have had both the Stars and Stripes and the Union Jack tattooed over me heart for many years.
I’v never trusted air travel and have a fear of flying so have never ever visited the land of my father but have resolved to bite the bullet and get over there soon and visit a friend and then pay respect at my fathers grave in Arizona.

Have you ever listened to this so-called “call to prayer”? It’s the most terrible, grating, sound one can imagine. It reverberates from the gates of hell. I first heard it on a visit to Cairo and I will never forget this intimidating, frightening cacophony of hate penetrating my eardrums, a sound lacking in any harmony whatsoever. It reminds me of the voice of the beast screaming from Hell. I could not think of a more upsetting, horrible sound.
