California churches plan to defy Newsom’s tyrannical orders, re-open May 31

I can just see the little tyrant Newsom sending storm troopers to storm the churches. Sound familiar?

California churches plan to defy Newsom’s orders, re-open May 31

Services will resume ‘on the day of Pentecost,’ possibly sooner

Just the News, May 9, 2020:

Story continues below advertisement

A consortium of churches in California has announced its intention to defy Gov. Gavin Newsom’s statewide stay-at-home order and re-open church buildings for services at the end of this month or possibly before that.

Church United, a California group created to “change and shape the moral culture of our communities in California,” is promoting on its website a petition it calls a “declaration of essentiality for churches.” That petition, hosted on the website of religious law firm Tyler & Bursch, LLP, states that the signed churches “declare that on May 31, 2020, or sooner, we will resume corporate worship.”

Jim Domen, the founder of the organization, told the San Bernardino Sun that Church United represents 1,000 pastors in the state. In the petition, the churches dismiss the claims of various public health authorities that churches are effectively unnecessary during a pandemic.

“Facing the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Christian church and other faiths have been relegated to ‘nonessential’ status by governing agencies throughout the United States. But we, the signers of this declaration, believe and contend that gathering together in fellowship and worship is ‘essential,'” the petition states.

Citing Supreme Court precedent that restrictions on religious worship must be narrow in scope, the petition argues: “The current governmental orders are not narrowly tailored here because innumerable secular enterprises and places where people gather are deemed essential, including those that pose even greater risks of COVID-19 than religious assemblies.”

“We are committed to public safety and will follow reasonable guidelines established and applied to similarly situated organizations,” the signatories declare.

A federal judge ruled this week that Newsom was within his authority as governor when he issued the stay-at-home order in March and applied it to churches as well as other functions he deemed non-essential.

This is also why you can’t just ban Islam as a “relgion”.
You have to prove it is something else…
Just because Newsom only adores and only believes in himself doesn’t mean he has the right to abridge your rights!

NY Post: 26 Year Old Surfer Killed In California Shark Attack Identified
https://nypost.com/2020/05/10/man-killed-in-california-shark-attack-identified-as-surfboard-maker/
One death is a tragedy. Or is it? USA total Covid-19 count today = 78,968 mortalities.
https://covid19info.live/us/
But some say the real count is about 1/2 of that = 40,000 mortalities. That would take 40,000 news articles, one for each mortality. But for some reason, very few will appear. There is no objective standard for “unacceptable mortality rates”. We cannot control mortality if we don’t even know how much it is, or why we are doing it.

So should the entire country be held hostage to questionable numbers? I think most people realize as they age their health is more vulnerable as your immune system and other things go wrong.

I’d be curious to know how many people typically die on any given day? Car accidents? Murders? Death by natural causes? ABORTIONS? Euthanesia? Death happens! This virus is being used as a tool for a new normal – to scare you into submission and getting us used to taking away our freedom and rights. They want GOVERNMENT to rule your lives.

I’d also like to know the SUICIDE rate for those that committed suicide over losing their livelihood or being unemployed since the virus appeared. I do know the suicide rates have been going up over this.

I am not being accusatory towards you. Don’t misunderstand my reply here.

Felix: Don’t worry, I know you are not accusing, you just want to know. About 7,700 USA residents die each day [CDC, with about 2.8 million mortalities in 2019, a typical year, and 2.8 million /365 = 7,700].
——-
USA 2020 total mortality will increase by about 1 to 3% from 2019 total mortality. Roughly, with many caveats. The arithmetic is simple, with about 2.8 million mortalities per year, and increasing by about 80,000 or 40,000 Covid-19 mortalities so far this year. But 1% or 3% is not much more than the typical wobble in variability that we see from year to year. And since mortalities from colds, flus, traffic accidents, violent street crime, etc., will decrease, it may not even be a 1% total increase for 2020. But does that matter? If we compare 40,000 mortalities to most perils we usually worry about, like gun crime or heroin ODs, it’s a lot. As I said, there is no objective standard for “unacceptable mortality rates”.

Who defines what a religion is? The academic elites of western civilization, who read books as a profession, certainly read the 3 books that define Islam, and they did so a long time ago. They have always known that Islam is a civilization that includes a mandatory religion. It is an intolerant civilization of conquest that includes a mandatory religion that requires the imitation of a deceptive, perverted, sadistic mass murderer (conqueror).

I understand but no one with power wants to challenge it.

GWB who majored in WORLD HISTORY knows better and proclaimed it the “religion of peace”. He attended Yale University from 1964 to 1968, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in world history. At that time, Islam wasn’t sanitized.

I just can’t picture Trump being a girly boy.

See his speech at Notre Dame Univeristy Law School. Skim the transcript if you don’t want to listen to him.

I found it amusing that he gave a speech there. Notre Dame University is very secular, liberal and pushes Islam.

May 31st! Wow! What courage!!

Why not today? Or the 17th? The 24th? Is there some drastic administrative or supply issue preventing churches from opening sooner? Or are they hoping that by announcing the open dissent they will somehow persuade Newsome to alter his order to allow church services and spare them the need to engage in civil disobedience.

Just another example of what our “allies” in the muslum world are thinking behind the backs of the stupid kuffar.

You’ll have to go all the way back to the discovery of oil and refining it into a fuel to understand why Muslims and mosques are on our soil. Control of currency and oil were recognized as the keys to ruling the entire world in the future, and evil men controlled both. The whitewashing and reimaging of Islam across western civilization (both sides of the Atlantic) began before WWI. The powers of the day knew then what they were going to use Islam for now.

Islam is a proxy army, and patsy card that has not yet been played. You can see the set up if you ask: Do the leaders across Europe really want to hand their most iconic cities, and their wealth and power, to Muslims? That appears to be what they are doing, but that’s not what they are doing at all. They want a brutal, sadistic mass murderer to blame for self inflicted destruction and the eventual mass murder that comes with a war of survival. Islam is a guarantor of perpetual conflict that becomes a war of survival. The only people who don’t appear to know what Islam is are the same people who knew exactly what it was a century ago.

Obama was just a stagehand, groomed for the position, and trained to set the stage for a terrible day at the hands of a terrible person. The treason started long before Obama, and the proof is the fact that the Democrat Party nominated and elected a man with a fake SSN and fake birth certificate. Add the protection of the MSM (propaganda machine working to advance the political power of the Democrat Party). The same people who bankrolled the MSM to make it what it is, are behind the Democrat Party. This is a domestic and foreign collective of enemies.

COVID-19 was released in an attempt to correct a screw-up that happened in 2016, so a terrible person can bring about a terrible day. To create a new global rule, it is necessary to destroy the USA and much of the world. It would take an enormous arsenal to do such a thing, but that arsenal is in the hands of people who must be destroyed. It would take a particularly evil person to do such a thing, and that person would have to be carefully chosen for the job. She would have to be a sadistic, criminally insane, ruthless psychopath, and traitor to the USA. Her name is Hillary Clinton.

There are 5 key cycles in Muslim history
1. 700 AD First growth of Islamic power
700 AD onward, Conquest of Middle East, Iran, and Maghreb to Spain, plus India and Indonesia.1453 conquest of Constantinople.
2. 1492 The contraction of Islamic power begins
1492, Spanish reconquista, beginning of Muslim contraction, Battle of Lepanto 1571, etc., slow Islamic contraction
3. 1918 The contraction of Islamic power accelerates
1918 collapse of of Turkish Ottoman empire, growing European hegemony in Middle East, regression of global Islamic power
4. 1960 The short term resurgence of of Islamic power
1960 to 1980 Oil discoveries in ME, growing tyrant kleptocracy, economic growth, resurgence of world influence of Islam
5. 1980 The resumed contraction of Islamic power
1980 to present, regression of Islam with failing states, constant ME wars, millions of refugees, and US fracking wrecking ME income streams

Off topic but very interesting…
Could this affect “sanctuary cities”?

Supreme Court unanimously rules encouraging illegal immigrants to stay in US is criminal
May 9, 2020 by BizPac Review

In a rarity, the Supreme Court has issued a unanimous ruling in upholding a U.S. law that bars people from actively encouraging illegal immigrants to remain inside the country.

All nine justices on Thursday overturned a ruling by the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals which had said a federal anti-harboring statute was unconstitutional because it allegedly violated the First Amendment’s free speech guarantee.

In upholding the U.S. law, the high court also chastised the 9th Circuit judges for “drastically” veering from established judicial norms.

And interestingly, the decision was written by one of the high court’s most liberal members, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg.

“[T]he appeals panel departed so drastically from the principle of party presentation as to constitute an abuse of discretion,” she wrote, adding that “a court is not hidebound by the precise arguments of counsel, but the Ninth Circuit’s radical transformation of this case goes well beyond the pale.”

The decision brings to a conclusion a court challenge that has lasted a decade.

In 2010 a grand jury indicted Evelyn Sineneng-Smith, an immigration consultant, for several violations of anti-harboring laws which make it a felony to “encourag[e] or induc[e] an alien to come to, enter, or reside in the United States, knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that such coming to, entry, or residence is or will be in violation of law.”

Sineneng-Smith told her illegal immigrant clients to apply for a certification that would permit them to remain in the U.S. legally even though they didn’t really qualify for the certification.

Legal affairs site Jurist reported that she would charge her clients a fee for the service, earning in excess of $3.3 million in all. In challenging the indictment, Sineneng-Smith that it violated her free speech rights.

The 9th Circuit agreed with her and in so doing, overturned her conviction and threw out the entire law.

However, the lower court’s reversal wasn’t based on arguments presented by her defense but instead by third-party arguments submitted to the appeals court.

In its ruling, the Supreme Court noted that the 9th Circuit summarily overstepped its jurisdiction by offering an argument that the defendant had never made. As such, the ruling reaffirms that parties to cases, and not the courts themselves, are what drive outcomes.

Advocates for upholding immigration laws cheered the ruling.

“We applaud the Court’s well-reasoned decision,” noted Dale L. Wilcox, executive director and general counsel of Immigration and Reform Law Institute, in a statement.

“Unfortunately, the Court did not have to reach the issue of whether this important statute is constitutional, but it did keep the law in place. When and if the overbreadth issue is brought up properly by a defendant in the future, we will be there,” he added.

I just want to take a few moments of your time and address some of your concerns. Since this is mixed forum, I will make it clear this is from the Christian perspective and what I believe.

The Old Testament is just as relevant today! In fact in my opinion, one can’t fully appreciate what was done on the cross unless you have some understanding of the Old Testament. Christ often quoted from the Old Testament it was referenced in the New Testament. From the Christian perspective, He lived the life of a perfect Jew. His death on the cross did away with legalese laws that no one was able to keep, hence animal sacrifices for atonement were needed. From the Christian perspective, His death was the ultimate sacrifice for sin – the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23). That doesn’t mean you are free to steal and covet what others have etc.. You should not do that either. When asked the most important Commandment His response was this:

Matthew 22:35-40
[35] Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying,
[36] Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
[37] Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
[38] This is the first and great commandment.
[39] And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
[40] On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

When you follow them you won’t want to violate the other commandments but being imperfect, we still mess up.

Pastors are very much aware of the elderly being more fragile. Those in their 80’s, the average age or those with health issues, most affected by the virus, probably aren’t going to be showing up for protests and if they do, is is their choice! It doesn’t mean they will automatically catch the virus and die. Those who are vulnerable to this virus, know who they are. They should also have the freedom to decide for themselves if they go to this protest or not! I don’t believe people should be forced to stay home, if they wish to attend. Why oppress them and have them cower in their homes if they want to be around fellow Christians?

From the Christian perspective, tradition and rituals didn’t impress Him. He had allot to say about that. He wants you to stay with His teachings! For example, another book attributed to Paul….I’ll get to him later….

Colossians 2:8
[8] Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

There may be some confusion here… when it comes to food…. Christians are not under Jewish dietary laws. You will never see Christ reference any of them. Paul addressed food used in idolatry in Corinthians 8. The point of that was we have liberty but don’t use that to be a stumbling block to those that are weak in their faith. He’s trying to be sensitive to new believers that maybe unsure of themselves. He is not addressing clean or unclean meat. In context, Paul is speaking of meat offered to idols such as bullocks, sheep, goats chickens doves etc. that were surplus and sold in the market from pagan temples.

The “falling away” is not about Jewish dietary laws. Christ was more concerned about the heart. See Romans 2:25-29.

Mark 7: 16-19 (Christ talking)
16] If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.
[17] And when he was entered into the house from the people, his disciples asked him concerning the parable.
[18] And he saith unto them, Are ye so without understanding also? Do ye not perceive, that whatsoever thing from without entereth into the man, it cannot defile him;
[19] Because it entereth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught, purging all meats?
[20] And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man.

It’s not about what you eat! It’s all about the heart……

The falling away is about is about unsound teachings and you indirectly referenced it in a book written by Paul who you appear to reject. Allot of people don’t like Paul. It’s puzzling…. but people like to pick and choose what they prefer to believe! All of these books are attributed to Paul as the author. Thirteen books are attribute to Paul in the New Testament out of 27 books! So if you don’t approve of Paul, you are ignoring nearly half the New Testament!

Romans
1 Corinthians
2 Corinthians
Galatians
Ephesians
Philippians
Colossians
1 Thessalonians
2 Thessalonians *
1 Timothy
2 Timothy
Titus
Philemon

You might want to be careful about throwing all those books out of the New Testament. You don’t want to be guilty of what you accuse others of. I also see you quoted Paul, 2 Timothy 4:3, another one of the books Paul wrote.

2 Timothy 4:3-5
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

Paul was singled out and Christ had a mission for him –

Acts 26:16–18

[15] And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.
[16] But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;
[17] Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee,
[18] To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

We can rest assured that Paul’s words to the churches are inspired by the Holy Spirit and relevant for us today.

I don’t see the phrase “open churches” in the Bible either but Christ conducted them. Recall the Sermon on the Mount written about in Matthew 5-7. I am not going to list all of that. You can look that up. There were other locations outside where He also preached in the open and taught in a synagogue. So preaching in the open is not new nor is preaching in a building new to shield people from weather elements. Both are fine. I don’t see the word abortion in there either but I know that is wrong. For example, I can infer from verses in Matthew 18:6, Mark 9:42 and Luke 17:2, dismembering a little human being would be very offensive to Him without explicitly stating it – recall Baal and child sacrifices in the Old Testament. Children are considered a blessing!

Matt.18:6
[6] But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

That’s endorsing capital punishment!

I am thankful we had martyrs. Foxe’s Little Book of Marty’s is a good book to read. If people were obedient to man over God, we wouldn’t have the Bible today! Read about William Tyndale, Wycliffe, the Lolloards and others who were burnt up for just having a Bible. During the Dark Ages (A.D. 500-1500), Bibles were banned and owners were killed. ALL of them made choices and defied man and choose God!

There are times when you STAND UP and don’t cower to please man and some of their ungodly and in the U.S., unconstitutional demands taking away our rights. Our government as imperfect as it is, was formed on Judeo Christian principles. It is not up to the government to determine for us, what is “essential” and shove their their atheism in our faces. I don’t think you understand what is going on here.

Look into more prophecy too. Christians are hated and the most persecuted people and religion on this entire earth! It’s now openly happening in the U.S.. Christians, worldwide are literally hated. It’s going to get worse. We are warned about that too!

Matt.24:9
[9] Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.
Luke.21:17
[17] And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake.
Mark.13:13
[13] And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
John.15:18
[18] If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.

Of course you can do as you wish and believe whatever you like.
I will leave you with this, written by Paul –

2 Timothy 3:16
[16] All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

It clearly states ALL is by the inspiration of God etc…not just some of the books in the New Testament. There are no contradictions in the Bible. It all flows together and clarifies itself.

Good for these churches and
their ministers. Freedom of worship is protected by the 1st amendment flu or no flu. No matter how freaked out people are over Covid 19, if lots of people want to hide in their basement and watch tv till they qualify for social security that’s their choice but don’t use Covid 19 hysteria as a justification to order the police to arrest people for going to church. Really church attendance is not why America has millions of Covid 19 cases. Ridiculous.
