Nevada’s Democrat Governor Issues Emergency Order Barring Use of Effective Anti-Malaria Drugs For Coronavirus Patients

The quote, attributed to the 52 year old recovering from a severe case of the Chinese virus, is patently false. He did NOT say he was given it intravenously.
I heard him interviewed and he asked from where that quote came. His first dose was taken orally. His first dose was 400 mg, double the following/normal dose of 200 mg.
How do such lies become accepted?

So all those illegal mexicans in Nevada won’t get medical help for covid19. C’est domage! Maybe they’ll go home to get their medication.

This governor is a person who has “other” interests. He will not get reelected and he knows it. He knows he is being a dick, but so does Nancy Pelosi. They don’t care.

Not only is this pandemic a hoax it’s being used by people on both sides of the aisle to get things that never would get passed under normal circumstances. All for more power. I think we may have been had.

Sounds like the Leftist Cabal had a pact that the Covid virus was not to be defeated and the leftist Governor is sticking to the plot. This guy must be self-decieved into belieiving he has majority backing. The governor does not seem familiar with the Declaration of Independence where American patriots are admonishment to essentially remove tyranny with extreme prejudice. . The governor also seems oblivious that the 2nd amendment was not for hunting but to defend the members of the Republic from Tyranny. Anyone think this this Governor may become an example of American patriots defending themselves from Tyranny?
Maybe the Governor just thinks he is the Obama care death panel for his state?

I say he hasn’t the authority to give such an order or to back it up! Does anyone in Nevada have the guts to try him?

I’m trying to get my head around this. A governor, not the CDC or FDA, issues an order for people to not take a legal and prescribed medical medication. Isn’t this exceeding his mandate? Will he next outlaw Aspirin, antibiotics, and chewing gum?

Meanwhile the recreational use of marijuana is legal. Nevada’s state law allows prostitution and solicitation in counties with less than 400,000 residents. But hey, ban a medication that may save your life.

I can think of various scenarios why the governor is so desperately against any possible cure with those medicines and as to who could be possibly giving him “advise” !!

I don’t see how the governor can legally and ethically do that. If doctors have to list an erroneous diagnosis to get around that illegal ruling, they should do it even if it means a fine or going to jail.
The drug is used for patients with immune disorders. That “off label” use of this anti-malarial drug could have started with docs using it because of anecdotal positive results with immune disorders. Someone taking it in a malaria infested territory found improvement in their rheumatoid arthritis or lupus. With time, the FDA gets around to studying it and then gets around to listing those diagnoses as FDA approved “indications” for that drug. My mother took Plaquenil for years for Rheumatoid Arthritis. So too, Plaquenil can be used as “off label” for another disorder, COVID19, and when the FDA, NIH and others finish their clinical studies, publish in peer-review journals, then it will officially be made an indication for COVID19 infection…if it is as good as the multiple medical reports suggest. There may be a shortage of this drug because doctors may be hoarding it for personal use and/or they are prescribing it for patients who ask for it even though they don’t have a good reason to take it and aren’t positive for COVID19. Doctors really don’t need “permission” from any bureaucratic agency to use an established FDA approved drug “off-label.” If a doctor prescribes it he/she has to make sure there are no medical contraindications/toxicity for that patient. Also, it shouldn’t ONLY be used for patients with COVID19 patients on respirators as “compassionate care” since with advanced stages of that disease, the drug may not even be effective.
To KILL THIS VIRUS it should be used on anyone, who wants it and who is positive for COVID19 and hopefully they will test NEGATIVE quickly and w/o symptoms after short-term prescribed use and then they can get back to their lives and we can get our country back.
Clinical trials involve giving a placebo to controlled group of patients with that disease…and, if those patients are having trouble breathing in distress, I would consider that clinical study unethical to not give it to a patient in distress. They could do controlled trials with asymptomatic or mildly symptomatic patients to see how quickly they become negative for the virus.

The only problem will be with the supply and availability of Plaquenil and Zithromax which means we need a wartime increased production of those drugs. Everyone is fixated on respirators…let’s do something NOW so as to not need so many respirators or even hospitalize people.

When Dr. Fauci was asked if he or any of his loved ones got COVID19 disease, he said he admitted he would take it only as a participant in a controlled trial. I wish he was asked this follow-up question…”Would you be OK with being the patient who gets the placebo?”
