‘Apologies are not enough’ — Eric Trump says he will sue MSNBC over Lawrence O’Donnell report

Eric Trump said Wednesday that his company would sue over a supposed bombshell reported by Lawrence O’Donnell on his MSNBC show on Tuesday evening.
“This was a reckless attempt to slander our family and smear a great company,” Trump tweeted. “Apologies are not enough when the true intent was solely to damage and cause harm.”

“As a company, we will be taking legal action. This unethical behavior has to stop,” he added.
He was referring to the apology O’Donnell issued after the report.
“Last night I made an error in judgment by reporting an item about the president’s finances that didn’t go through our rigorous verification and standards process,” O’Donnell tweeted.
“I shouldn’t have reported it and I was wrong to discuss it on the air,” he added. “I will address the issue on my show tonight.”
What did O’Donnell say?
O’Donnell had reported that one source had confirmed from the president’s taxes that he had received business funding through guarantees from Russian oligarchs. Journalists generally do not report claims based on only one source.

People don’t understand anymore, that apologies are useless unless the person understands what he did, strives never to repeat, AND, if punishment is deemed, accepts it with humility and grace.
A PROPER apology is, “I am sorry. What MUST I do to make amends.? Don’t worry about it. I will take care of everything.”
IF they’re lucky, the other guy will say, “Don’t worry about it. S— happens.”
But someone figuring “I’m sorry.” is enough, and then whining about the punishment, never was sincere.

It’s hardly an “apology,” is it?
O’Donnell was simply told by the Suits to read a statement provided by the NBC lawyers – which he did.
He hated reading it on-air, but he did as he was told.
O’Donnell and the rest are hardly substantive – they’re just opportunistic hacks who fall in line with the prevailing narrative.
The closest anyone comes to real sincerity in promoting these vicious memes against the president are Chris Cuomo at CNN – by virtue of his stupidity, and Rachel Maddow, by virtue of a personality disorder.

If or when caught, these snot-ass faux-journalists will offer a retraction, an insincere withdrawal attempting to dilute or dismiss the slanderous intent. This and this alone is the key: The United States Supreme Court. If — and it is a big “if”— the US S.Ct. should “clarify” the case of New York Times v. Sullivan and further “clarify” defamation law, then Eric Trump may have a case and a strong case at that.

The 9th Circuit Court, in several cases, have judged FOR TRUMP AND CURRENT POLICIES. I think the Trumps here, will win. This has all got to stop sometime because for over 3 years now, the left has venomously done everything they can to TRY and destroy Trump. AND, they have NOT succeeded, which tells me 1 thing: GOD WON’T LET THEM.
You’d think liberals would realize that WE, THE PEOPLE will just support Trump even more. It may take some time, but I believe liberals will eventually be destroyed by themselves.

WE all know you run the story to do short term damage and disseminate the lie to all the low information viewers. Then after the word is out they silently retract the story, it’s now a predictable pattern MSNBC has gotten away with and so have other left wing Media.
